Well, I am happy to report, 1 year later and she has lost over half the weight. I gave her some good grilling recipes without all the fat; she is now exercising and doing weights 3x a week and she looks fantastic. She just didn't realize what a little could do. I remember we looked up that day what she had consumed calorie wise and she was amazed. She now owns a small tread climber and is on it 3-4x/wk. And she started out very slow, just a little bit every day or so and it has really paid off. Her goal is 100 lbs by September as her best friend is getting married and hasn't seen her for over a year. She wants to surprise her. It will be a great surprise.

I tell ya, Lil Bits Add Up To Be Great Big Bits, in a wonderful way! Slow and steady wins the race everytime!
I agree with you, dessert not healthy every night, but an occasional treat, hot fudge sundae, strawberry shortcake, whatever, is what life is all about, and there is no way we should ever feel guilty IF we're doing those lil bits every day!

I walk the dog every day, unless I am sick or the weather is dangerous or in very heavy rain, so I always at least get that walk. I otherwise try to motivate myself to do some DVD workouts, but I tend to put them off.
Tonight's menu is on track - I have some steaks thawing. Probably will just grill them or make a mustard/peppercorn sauce to serve with them - really depends on what I feel like when I make them. I am serving either broccoli or asparagus tonight to go with them, as well as a side salad.
