Shrimp Etouffee by Denise
Post

Would you belive it this is the first time I have had Shrimp Etouffee. What a great introduction to it. Just the right amount of spicyness. Mmm I had 4 jumbo prawns and half a dozen smaller ones in the freezer so used them instead of small shrimp. Followed the recipe exactly except for the prawn cooking time . I only like my prawns cooked for about6-8 minutes so I added them when I added the parsley. Great Dinner!

Looks delicious. Yes, Etouffee is a great dish. I have never added beer to mine, but I love cooking with it; I will have to give it a try. I love that pretty dark roux. Great job. And yes, I usually don't add my shrimp until the very end of cooking too.
