Passion Fruit Curd

Post by Tisme » Fri Mar 09, 2018 4:25 am

So many passion fruit to use up. I used to make this years ago and so did my Mum.
DH loves this, so I decided to treat him with a few jars.

Your photos are all gorgeous with #1 as my favorite - It was a tough choice because I love them all - I like the blue light you brought in on the side.

I'm gonna be a rebel, number 2 is my fave because I can see the top of it. It looks so good and I can't wait til it passes moderation. What form/process of passion fruit do you use? Once I found a huge container of pureed passion fruit that was frozen, and it had a really good flavor, but we are pretty low on passion fruit products here. Whenever they are available fresh (for an arm and a leg) we snatch them up.

Thanks so much Bergy, actually I had to take that photo in a different place to usual, as DD was cooking on the bench where I usually take my photo's. So I took them near a window and he sun coming through the window and made that light I was quite impressed, although I probably couldn't do it again even if I tried! ;) :?

There is always one rebel Maito! ;)
Thanks so much!
I used fresh passion fruit, and strained the seeds, although I cannot see why you could not use frozen or tinned for this recipe, I have frozen some to use later in the year for this very recipe.
I feel so guilt here are you can't get any passion fruit, and yet I have a table full of them at the back door, it seems there has been a bit of a glut this year! :(
Although in saying about a glut, they are still $1.00 Aus each at the supermarket here.
