I love all things shellfish, except maybe that bad piece of uni I was served in San Antonio many years ago. Smelled of hair perm. I won't order it anymore off the sushi restaurant menus. I don't trust it to be fresh.
But mussels have always been good to me and easy to tell when they are not. Just need a pieces of French bread to soak in there and everyone is all set.
