Green Bean Casserole by tisht

When my siblings & I were growing up, the classic green bean casserole was already a family standard, but my Mom made it for us w/a bit of a twist. She added crisped & crumbled bacon to the classic recipe. I guess she was among the early believers that "bacon makes everything better". I've lived in Iceland for 15 yrs & for the 1st time was able to buy green beans at our new Costco. :-)

I wish I was as happy w/my pic as I was to find the beans & this recipe again ... http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/green- ... erole-2168. My intent was to post a 2nd pic of a plated serving using the leftovers, but there were none. My house guests from Switzerland devoured the entire casserole before I shared the recipe w/them. Apparently it's still new to some living on this planet.
