Herb Seasoned Stuffing Mix?

Post by HeatherFeather » Fri Sep 07, 2012 11:38 am

I have a broccoli casserole recipe I want to try that calls for "herb seasoned stuffing mix." I am not really sure which type to use - Stove Top or a bag of Pepperidge Farm stuffing cubes? The Pepperidge Farm bags actually do say "herb seasoned stuffing mix" so I am thinking it is possible they mean the bag type of stuffing.

The stuffing is mixed with melted butter and sprinkled around the edges of the casserole before baking. I usually have a box of Stove Top kicking around in my pantry, but I am wondering if the recipe would be better with the far crispier bag style stuffing mix. Has anyone tried using Stove Top for this purpose and did it work out well, or should I go for the bag style?

Nope, it just says 3/4 cup.

3/4 cup stuffing mix is not a lot, I would go with the Pepperidge Farm stuffing cubes, seems a shame just to open a box just to use 3/4 cup :?
