Now I am reading Beartown - a book about a hockey town -- small town where everyone is involved with hockey. It is very good and I am enjoying it.

Lots of 5 star reviews on Goodreads.

A fantastic book which I highly recommend -- hockey town but a lot about the relationships within the town.

Now back to the morbid books -- The Hospital: How I survived the secret child experiments at Aston Hall by Barbara O'Hare-- about abused children (girls) in a psych hospital where doctors experiment on the children.

I highly recommend " An Absent Mind" by Eric Brill. A 70 something man and his family dealing with dementia. It is told from both the man's perspective and his family. A must read!

Have to love the recommends which sees this reader's stash with enough books to see me through a good many reads as well! Saw Braithwaite and it was another added to my must reads! Braithwaites ‘To Sir With Love' both the book and the movie remain unforgeable. I suspect the same for ‘Paid Servent’

I just started reading "1984" again. I read it back in high school a long long time ago, it made me think back then, but now...
It is just plain scary how it parallels what is happening in the US now!
I am only starting chapter two and already shaking my head!

Shadows, I just heard the movie "The Circle" with Tom Hanks and Emma Watson, it is very similar to "1984". Have you seen it?
