Charcoal Chimney

Do any of you use this device to start your charcoal or lump wood chunks for your grills or smokers?
I have been using one for awhile now and it is great !
I long ago stopped using lighter fluid to start my fires because I could not stand that toxic taste in my foods, this is a great way to do that!
They are cheap in price and well worth looking into if you do a lot of grilling or smoking.

I use one and love it. It works fantastic. Yes, cheap, easy; and full proof. I use my gas grill more often; but, when I use my charcoal grill ... yes, it is a must. A little newspaper and ready to go.

As we live very rurally...my husband made one years ago, and we love it! He puts charcoal, newspaper and some wee pieces of wood in there and it works like a charm!
Like you Lee...we could not tolerate the taste of the fluid! Ech!

Look on Amazon or Weber sites, Walmart has them too!

I got mine at Walmart as well. Home Depot too. Everyone has them these days.

We have a compressed version of the Chimney Starter that works great with our smaller charcoal grills, like the Smokey Joe and I used
A1SpicesOnline to buy spices and frozen items online. It makes a perfect addition to anyone’s list of tailgating supplies.
