Batch bread

Post by Shadows1 » Wed Jun 11, 2025 11:03 am

On the other site a lot of us used to belong to there was a recipe by French Tart for bread that you made a big bowel of and kept in the fridge, think it was called Daily Bread. Made some wonderful rustic loafs.
Does anyone still have this recipe???

Is this the one? I'm heading out the door for a long weekend where there isn't any Wi-Fi... I'll check back when I return home...

Don't know how it will hold up in snailmail but if you insist.

Just now saw this, can vouch for that one from back in the day. 'French Tart' is one fantastic cook and writer, her cooking and writing skills have her living an adventurous career and has authored cookbooks.

That recipe and others can be found in Karen's awesome cookbook 'Lavender and Lovage'by Karen Burns Booth' Having spent a lovely weekend as house guests in Ontario I can assure you Karen is also a joy to know. Love that cookbook which I have added to my elibrary for ease of shipping as well as for these eyes of mine. Being one of my favorite recipes, I even managed to find an old fashioned bowl with DOUGH lettering on the side. How good is that!
