Potluck on Sunday - share your favourite recipe!

Post by Gerry » Fri Oct 28, 2011 11:43 am

Potluck after services on Sunday, I would love to add a new main dish. We have a large kitchen, my freezer filled, my pantry and fridge well stocked so about anything goes.

Please share your favourite make and take!

Hi Gerry
we're having a potluck on sunday as well. I should mention I say potluck bc my kitchen isn't large enough for 8 of us to have a nice sit down dinner. Makes me sad. My family has grown in the past year and so having a table that doesn't have leaves puts a damper on things.
So, I have one DIL bringing green bean casserole (her favorite) and another DIL bringing her famous scotcheroos. I'm making ribs, baked potatoes, a layered salad, rolls, and Chai Latte cupcakes. We're celebrating two birthdays.

So CoffeeB does that mean if I bring my own chair I can join you! That is one awesome menu. Do you have a special recipe you use for the ribs? I have a couple packages needing to be used and more than ready for something new. Thinking not Sunday though seeing as everyone in their Sunday best and all!

Oh Dissie that sounds good I have to give that one a try - has just enough of a difference in ingredients to tempt the taste buds.

Keep the recipes coming - share your favourite - I will be adding them to my cookbook - there is no such thing as too many make and take recipes when you live in potluck country. :D

Here is one I do often though I leave out the chicken for potlucks. Then it goes with a lot of things

Thank you Muffin Lady, they are new to me recipes, have added them to my 'to try' cookbook. Always extra special to see those old fashioned grandma recipes!
