Freezing Tip-Which Spices Will Change Strength

Post by Deely » Thu Dec 08, 2011 5:18 pm

Because of limited time and space, I've been freezing foods for 30 years.
I'd like to share these handy tips I've learned over the years. Over time some flavors will change.
Flavor increases:
Cloves
Garlic
Black Pepper
Favor decreases:
Onion
Salt
Chili Powder

Are you meaning freezing garlic or freezing something with garlic as an ingredient?

I have frozen garlic in the past (due to a great deal on pre-peeled garlic) and it turned out quite mild. :(
