I really should get back to yoga. It was so calming and I was incrediblly flexible. It was like dancing and so graceful! Sure wish there was an instructor near me....
Would some yoga stretching help you Laury? It helps you to breathe like you did when a baby. Healthy breathing.
Being flexible is really important to good health too.

Hi Jelly & Welcome!

The Calcium w/Magnesium is for better absorption of the Calcium. I have had numerous Doctors state that is the only way to take Calcium supplements.

The Cherry is Tart Cherry Juice, I take it by the tablespoon full, and it is for lots of things, including, healthy/pain free joints, heart health, and a BIG antioxidant!

Like you, I LOVE the sunshine, but unlike you, I really don't mind the treadmill. I am able to have meditations while on it, and the time flies by for me. Its only recently I am doing the treadmill that much per day, as I like to change up things often. Haven't started the 10 Minute Trainer yet, but feel like thats going to be a biggy too!

Hope you stop by and help us stay motivated, and get yourself motivated too, when needed!

Thank you Mamere! :D
I have heard about the benefits of Cherry Juice. I will look for it. Any brand that you recommend?
I am a blueberry eater! Love them! Great antioxidant too.
The Calcium and Magnesium is a better combination than the Vitamin D with Calcium? Interesting.
I let my mind wander when I am treading...or listen to music or watch a movie. It is mainly for the calorie burn.
When the weather is too iffy to go out for a work out and I live too far away from the city I have to rely on self-motivation. There was no snow this year so I couldn't even cross-country ski. But I am not complaining as this has been great!!!!
We have gravel roads so it is muddy out there now. Yeck!
Anyone take Evening Primrose besides me?
Why the B-12 liquid opposed to the Dots? Curious?

If you look for the Tart Cherry Juice, it should be organic Jelly, AND it needs to be TART Cherry Juice, for all the benefits.
The liquid B is super fast into the bloodstream, held under the tongue and absorbed in that way.
I used to take Evening Primrose but didn't feel any different after 6 weeks of it, gave it up.
We have only gotten 5" snow so far this year, no Snow Angels done here YET! This thursday maybe flurries, but who knows, that could change too.

Will pick up some Organic Tart Cherry Juice and some Organic Milk too when I go to the city this weekend. Thanks!
I use the dots because they too go under the tongue for fast absorbtion. Never heard of the liquid til now. Will check it out!
Also will be looking into the CalMag as well.
What little snow we got has melted and now it is mud. Yeck!
I have noticed a difference with the Evening Primrose. No more tenderness in my breasts. Did coincide with my not drinking milk though. Not sure I guess.
My hot flashes at night have stopped now that I am not drinking milk anymore too.
They were horrible and the only thing that really could have caused them to come back with such a vengence was the 2 gallons of milk weekly I was drinking in order to get extra calcium from food too.
We have been eating lots of fruits too. Berries, grapes, pinapple, apples, pears, kiwi and citrus.
Have replaced potatoes and rice with more salads too. Mostly due to cravings for greens.
Interesting how we crave what we need and stock up for a while and then ease off when we have had our fill. Our bodies know what they need! :D
Gotta go and do my stint on the treadmill, my turn....oy vey...

I think I only exercised yesterday to get a lot of anger and frustration out. Today if Tom goes to visit friends, takes a nap, etc. I will try exercising again. The same with tomorrow. I have added lots of questions to my list for my doctor from the things I have been reading here like which dietary needs are we working too. Should I add cherry juice or vitamin b12? Right now she has me taking a multiple vitamin, fiber pill, fish liver oil, iron, and vitamin D.
I have 2 appointments with her next week. Blue Cross is requiring all patients who need prescription pain medicine to have a separate appointment with their doctor. The weird thing is they don't seem to care about Tylenol with Codeine (Tylenol #3) which is my big pain relief. It's my mid-strength pain killer they are after- Ultram.

I walk in each appointment with a list of questions which arose after I saw her 2 months before. She knows to ask for the list if I don't already have it on her desk. She also agrees to answer all questions to the best of her ability.

Laury, Not sure if you saw it, but on yesterdays Dr Oz show, he spoke about "White Willow bark" for those that are in great pain. He discussed people that have herniated discs (me) and different types of arthritis (I thought of you) it is a natural substance, and taken in a small pill as an anit inflammatory and pain reducer. There are some medications that cannot be taken with it, that is why you would need to speak with your Doctor.

My doctor has asked me not to add extra vitamins, etc. without her okay. I do know I don't have to but she wants to help me keep everything I take work together. When I take over 40 pills a day, it does get confusing.

That's a lot of pills Laury...the problem is most meds have nasty side effects and affect the absorbtion of vitamins and minerals.
I have done all my research on what I take and talk to my doctor about it and my pharmacist.
Because I am gluten intolerant I had to find companies who made my BP meds without the gluten in them. Who woulda thunk it!!!!!
My diuretic depletes my potassium and I have to eat a banana every darn day!!!!!!
Then some meds will prevent the workings of Vitamin D and you need to supplement!
You really have to do a lot of foot work for your own health!!!!!!
I have been my own advocate and I am taken seriously finally.
If not...I would still be sick.
No one knows my body better than me. I know when something is not right and will be a pain in the Kazinga til it is rectified. After all, I am a paying customer.
If the doctor okays it... Taking Willow Bark is great advice.
When I use to have anxiety I used Blue Vervain about 10 drops to a glass of warm water. Very calming. Helped during perimenapause. Checked with my MD and pharmacist to make sure that it didn't conflict with what I was already taking.
I love my pharmacy!!!!!!! We have a great relationship. VIP!

WOW, lots of chatter going on.

Laury, awesome to see you getting in a workout, be careful though, especially when you need oxygen.

HotPepper, thanks for joining us. Awesome you were able to get out for a walk. I have a elliptical trainer that I love going on, just blast my tunes and hope the kids don't come talk to me.

Me, I got a hold of the Specialist's office yesterday, I got my first appointment on Feb 13th. So I will have to make another appointment soon to get more anti-inflammatory pills or something to manage my pain. My back has been hurting for 17 days now and counting. It is getting very frustrating. Today was a better day than the ones I have been having. I was able to ignore most of the pain, I didn't need anything at lunch time and only 1 pill this morning, tonight is another story, it was a 3 pill night. But hey it is better than a 9 pill day right? Walking training starts on Tuesday, so that I will be taking day by day. No commitments from me on being out there.
