Cookie Help Please!

Post by Kizzikate » Sun Nov 13, 2011 12:04 pm

I am attending a cookie exchange next weekend with holiday cookies. My electric mixer is broken! I need recipe ideas for cookies that can be mixed by hand.... and that are freezable. Since we are having the exchange so early, the hostess has asked that they be either freezable or storable until Christmas. Thanks!

I have never used an electric mixer to make cookies...pretty much all of them can be made mixing by hand, it just takes a little more effort. I'd say anything you would've normally made that can be frozen you should be able to make.

Edit:
I hate to post recipes from t'other site here, but that's where they are. :? I've frozen all of the following successfully:

Soft Molasses Spice Cookies
Butter Pecan Shortbread Cookies
Soft and Chewy M&M Cookies
Everything but the Kitchen Sink Chocolate Chip Cookies

Would white chocolate bark be considered a type of cookie? It lasts a long time in the fridge. I have never frozen it though.

I've never used a mixer to make cookies either. Just pump up and get to mixin'!

I didn't have an electric mixer of any sort for years and years. You can make any cookie you want it just takes a bit of man power.

These are indistructable:

Make them, throw them under the bed for a couple of weeks, whatever, they will still be good.

Can vouch for these Gingersnaps of Crocus's, they are real holiday winners at our house! :)
