Good Morning everyone & for some of you it is Good Afternoon.

We will be dinner out this evening as it is our anniversary. We will be going to "my" favorite restaurant which is not Dh's first choice. He finds the food a little fussy. No they do not serve half a cow, lol.

Thank you Derf & Kitten for the anniversary wishes.

We had a very nice dinner at my favorite restaurant. It is reported to be one of the 5 top rated restaurants in Canada & is close to where I live. Not Dh's favorite as he finds it to pretentious for his liking but I will continue to try to convert him. I am not prissy when it comes to food but I do like a nice presentation plus I think the food is fabolous. I missed not having you all there as many items I had I could not figure out what they were. As an appetizer I had a dish that consisted of a soft boiled egg with ham & broccoli plus two sauces. I am telling you I do not know what they did with that egg as I have never made any egg that tasted like that! Dh was to have one of the specials that day which was fish but there was only one left & it was taken by the time the order came in. Their replacement was a fish from Australia "Bu"(?) which they wished to explain was a long way for it to travel but they have picked it due to the way it is raised. They purchase their fish/seafood by the recommendations of "The Ocean Board" (?). Never heard that before but we were told this is an environmental decision to protect the fish. The fish was lovely & I will have to see if I can find it?

We received several flower arrangements. Plus Dh sent me an arrangement which for some reason was left at the front door. So he was a little unhappy upon returning home. Dd did find it when she came to deliver a gift (more flowers). So my home looks very festive. Dh had his arrangement done with the flowers of the church when we married. Would not have thought he would remember but he did.

Dh gave me two cookbooks. Jamie Oliver's "Meals in Minutes" which is great as I can now stop ordering the book from the library. Plus a special addition of "Cook's Illustrated Fall Entertainment". Also a very unusual lighter that looks like a hand grenade in a very posh red. It has a dual burner & I can use it on my desserts, light the fireplace & the stove top when needed.

So as we say in my home "Maggy Muggins, you have had quite a day".

Dinner tonight will be dining out on a patio as it may be our last opportunity?
