Pulled out the chicken for fajitas yesterday but it didn't thaw in time to marinate so I am doing that today. Also going to make some ceviche.
Found a new product at the store- they now sell tortillas, both corn and flour, that haven't been cooked yet- just pressed and rolled dough. Bought a pack of the flour ones to see how they are. I griddle my tortillas anyway before serving.

For tonight's dinner, I'm making a tuna and pasta
recipe I found in one of those " Fix It Fast " type
cookbooks. If it works, it'll will be posted.

I thought mom would offer to take me out for dinner, but that hasn't happened yet. Now it's 2pm and I don't have a plan, so leftovers it is. Good thing I celebrated Tuesday (with a dinner I made myself, which is the leftovers we'll be eating).

Morning,

Even early for me, 4:30 and WIDE awake. It will be a very long day, considering I have to work tonight.

Sue, beer tacos sounds like a plan. Beer anything, sounds like a plan to me, lol.
Felix, beer I am sure is the last thing you want to have, lol. Gallons of H20 is the best.
Dis, I am so sorry to hear. I got one on the side of my foot after my knee injury. I was over compensating walking odd to help my knee; and ended up hurting my foot. Old age sucks! I ended up with a wrap on my foot for a month. I wasn't down either, even though they told me too. But, you do need to wrap it and rest it when you can.

Today's Cooking ...

Ladies #1 and #2 have other plans, so nothing for them.

Me, I got some great deals at the store the other day. Crab legs among other things for 3.99/lb.
So, I think steamed crab legs with lemon garlic butter; baked spud with sour cream, and fresh fruit. I could do a salad, but that should be plenty. I have a little over 1 lb of crab ...

Got my fajitas done but not the ceviche which I will do today. I have a few new potatoes to work up so will likely make smashed potatoes. I also have some more asparagus so will make that as a veggie, and also have some cuke salad I started marinating yesterday. Odds and ends day!

Tonight I'm going to the final farewell to the bar I used to frequent. Tomorrow morning the bank changes the locks (the new owner was a...well, use your own favourite word for a guy who runs a thriving local music venue into the ground in less than a year), so a bunch of former regulars are sneaking in the back door to hang out for a couple of hours and walk down memory lane. There will probably be munchy food, but since all the utilities are turned off they'll be nothing special.

Yes, I am hobbling around on my crutches. I can't believe I got an ankle injury due to my knee injury! Just infuriates me! But nothing I can do about it, except hobble around!

Fajitas sure sound good. I am not sure what to have tonight. I made goulash last night, and dh said there is enough left for tonight, so probably will be reheating that. Atleast it was delicious.

Felix have fun at your farewell party. Now your gang needs to pick a new place to meet and party. No need to break up the gang.

Kim, I think its great that you got the AC unit, the old one has been a pain for you for quite a long time now. NO more worries. Yes, it stinks to shell out a big amount like that, but just be grateful you had it to spend on AC. ;) :D

Dinner ... I guess I forgot about that today ... been a bit busy.

No cooking, leftovers.
Jambalaya from Thurs. A nice bowl, and fruit on the side. Out to a movie with a gf after. Easy and simple.

Didn't hit the market either; plenty on hand.

Felix, hope you had fun at the "Bar Farewell." I hate when places close like that, especially long time favorite spots.
