Morning!

Feeling much better today, still fighting something, but improved. Hey guys ... only 15 days till Xmas, can you believe that?

I have some patties I made up in the freezer that has onion and worcestershire in them. I think one of those, Greek seasoning, served over garden greens, and topped with sauteed olives and mushrooms. A Feta stuffed tomato on the side; and maybe a dinner roll if I get the chance to make some.

Those small batch biscuits sound good.

Those biscuits look way better and easier than the baking powder biscuits I normally make...gonna have to try them. :D

Doctor adventures this morning...I get to have surgery on the 20th to put my foot back together with plates and screws. Which means I'm 99% going to miss my dad's Christmas on the 21st since he lives 90 minutes north of me. Hopefully this isn't his last one.

My original intention was to put BBQ ribs in the crock pot this morning, but they were still half frozen. So dinner will be some #recipe7632 from my freezer. I've still got sour cream and salsa to top it with.

Well, sorry you have to get surgery, especially plates and screws; but, you have a date, and hopefully things will look up after that.

Think positive, maybe you can still make Dad's Xmas. Do you have to stay over night, or come home? I know after surgery, your leg should be elevated; maybe somehow you can still make it work.

Do you have someone that can drive you, Felix?
I had hardware put in when I broke my ankle and it is pretty common. I doubt you can drive but if someone else can you should be okay with your leg propped up in the back seat. I hope it works out for you.

I am making pizza for Bill tonight- he wants shrimp on it Greek style so that's the plan. I am having tremendous back spasms which is making doing anything a trial but I'll be o.k.

Hi Felix, :-H
Thanks so much for the compliments on the biscuits. :D
So very sorry to hear that you're going to have to have surgery
so close to Christmas. :(
But, in the end it will be better for you than to have to
suffer through more pain.
I'm hoping for you that there will be a way you can see
your Dad. :D

Spending the night at dad's isn't an option even if I wanted to...my ride is coming back the same day (I don't drive), and the family party is at my house the next day. If I go, I'll have to prop my foot up on the dashboard the entire way, since there'd be five of us in the car. I just don't see myself going anywhere less than 24 hours after surgery, much less 90 minutes one way in the winter. I just hope it doesn't go like the last one did; supposed to be outpatient, but I ended up spending the night in the hospital and could barely leave my chair to go to the bathroom for a couple of days afterward. My stepmom said not to worry about it, but I hate missing out on time with my dad.

I made a different plan for dinner. Rubbed some thick boneless pork chops with Olde Thompson's salt-free seasoning and baked them alongside a couple of sweet potatoes, with cottage cheese to round it out.

on another site. It's called,
Rajun' Cajun Ham & Broccoli Alfredo.
And I'll post it here as soon as I get
it made & photographed. :D
