I am SO glad I'm not the only one who can't stand him! And what a long way he's fallen...12 years ago he sold out our arena and brought a 23-truck production. Today he's sold maybe half of our symphony hall (we blocked off the upper balcony) and it was a whole two trucks. Four hours loadin and done. Works for me! I can get quite a nice nap in before dinner and going back to load out. :D

I'm going to toss some pasta with pepperoni, ground round, tomato sauce and cheese. Pizza casserole? LOL.

Morning Everyone!

Early am like always, 4:30. Turned on the TV and it died. The power just shut off. Checked all cables and Nothing. I think it finally kicked the bucket. Unfortunately, it is where I watch most of my TV - late at night and very early am. So, now do I get it fixed or get a new one. Unfortunately it is in my cabinet and it is a big a** TV, so a new one will be expensive. So now I'm stuck. Well, my DVR is in there too, so big decision. Not a good way to wake up.

Well, dinner tonight it easy. I have some left over pork chops from last week and will make a pork wrap with spinach, artichoke hearts, maybe some olives, tomatoes, and feta cheese; and strawberrys on the side.

I'm really tempted to fry up the robin's eggs in the nest on our front porch so she stops giving me hourly (or more often) updates on their progression.

Instead, I'll be throwing something together, probably involving pork chops and frozen vegetables. I had planned on actually cooking tonight, but apparently it was more important for her to snack on the carrots I bought specifically for a new recipe than for me to use them in it. She's going to the store tomorrow morning.

Good lord,I cannot even begin to tell you how much I am looking forward to this vacation!!!

Afternoon,

Still working the last of the leftovers. Tomorrow I will go grocery shopping.

Yesterday & this morning has been nothing but power failures & cable down. Switched on the coffee in the morning & everything went dark. I thought the coffee maker had done it for a second, lol.

Church, understand about the big heavy TVs. They are not easy to take into the repair shop unless you have two very strong men. I find electronics are often too expensive to fix compared to purchasing new. Often the TV tube is gone which is never worth replacing.

Most people run out and get a new tv but we have had both of ours fixed in the last 6 months at a substantial discount. They are both expensive, high-quality tv's that just needed a part fix and while it was still spendy, much cheaper than buying a new one! We had to have somebody come out for both but one he had to mail the part away so they could refurbish it. Then he had to come back and reinstall.

Tonight is broccoli cheese soup.

Inv,

Well, after some searching, checking on the internet and a few calls. My TV issue was diagnosed by all 4 places with the same problem. Bad capacitors. For my particular TV, they only stock capacitors for 6 years. Three of the stores had to use refurbished parts and it would of cost between 100-150. So I headed out and bought my self a 37 LCD, Great price at 199, in store special. Bargain! I was a happy camper. Two friends of my son helped me out and took the TV went to a disposal site. I do agree, if it would of been cost effective I would of fixed it, but this worked out for the best.

Morning to All!

Back to cooking for my ladies this week, so ...
Ladies #1 and #2:
My baked shrimp and fish dish I made last week for myself (scampi style), using red snapper. Served with a panzanella salad with fresh mozz, tomatoes, olives, onion, and basil

Me:
Chopped salad w/whatever is in the fridge; I have several veggies, also some cold cuts and cheese, so I'm sure that will be used up; and whole wheat rolls from Sun

Morning,

Church, nice purchase. So many electronics are throw items today.

Lovely morning here very much like the early mornings South. The sweet smell of a new day. Rain is expected this afternoon. I am hoping that the pool will be opened this week??

Mother's Day? Dd called to see what I would like as a gift. I was informed that the mail costs were to high & that she would send me cash. I do not want cash from my kid so I said bring something when you come home on business at the end of June. So this is what I posted would happen, no surprises here, lol.

Going grocery shopping & to the bakery. If I eat another piece of chicken I think I will "cluck".

My son called last night and I mentioned Mothers Day ... His response, 'Mothers Day, when is that?'

Need I say more. I expected that. No surprise there. But, I know he loves me.

Nin, glad you are having some decent weather. It has just been very warm and very dry. So in need on rain. I have to water all my plants every day.
