Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - APRIL 2013
My friends dd is sick, so NO matinee; but, Grandma is watching the kids.
So, my friend stopped over and we had, the remaining smoked fish; and some cheese and crackers. I had some good WI cheese, and my pub cheese, WI salami too - the good stuff. We also indulged in a bloody mary (just 1).
She is back checking on the kids, but back later with dinner. Lobster tails from the freezer and dessert.
OK, first - if you live in FL and dive; most people take place in lobster season and stone crab season. Besides, he is a commercial fisherman and runs a charter business too. So that is a staple in their house.
We will just grill it, a little lemon butter; and fresh fruit. I'm sure a bottle of wine will be involved, and she is bringing dessert too.

One of the ladies gave me a gift card to the place; and I went last night (Fri). It was a great little find. A very low key, simple place ... more of a bar; but offered some great food. NO big dinners; but, they did have burgers, some sandwiches, soup, chowders, a few salad; but mostly bar bites.
I had blackened grouper bites with a spicy sauce; Asian beef bites, wrapped in bok choy and then a tempura batter and fried, served a dipping sauce. Finally a shrimp, crab, and conch ceviche, with homemade herb crackers and bread.
Absolutely delicious. 2/1 cocktails, had mojitos; and the meal was delicious. Small portions, but the price was decent. 7,95-9.95. But really quality food.
For instance, the grouper bites were served on a bed of greens and a few fresh orange segments (almost made it a salad). The same with the steak; some fresh julienned carrots, zucchini, and snow peas I think. Not much of a salad; but enough to satisfy one.
Definitely a place to go back; I love places like that. Out of the way, not a tourist spot; good food, and very casual.

Your frittata sounds great. Any time I can find local places like that, I really love them.
