Everyone's BBQ foods whether indoor or outdoors sound great. We had potato salad, baked beans and chicken we grilled out. So delicious!

Made my once a month Sunday AM Brunch. The boys brought over a few friends. We had Fruit Plates, coffee, juice, pancakes, bacon,, sausage gravy, home fries and denver omelet style frittata.

No more cooking for me to day - salad for an early dinner and that's it. Youngest son has a 13 mile training rum today, oldest son is at the gym and then working. I am planning a bike ride with DH and then taking dog for a hike.

My outdoor BBQ is getting rescheduled for next weekend.

I think that breakfast would pretty much hold me all day as well. nice breakfast. I had cottage cheese :(

Sounds like a nice day; been thundering here all morning, but no rain - typical FL. I wish it would just rain, need it.

Dinner: beef and cabbage skillet from WW cookbook.

I got a recipe. I make it NOT too often, but now and then. Was it a creamy crab salad, or just lump crab. I have made it both ways. I usually use croissants with crab; but, you can use an English Muffin too.

I make a blender hollandaise, easier; and, I use a little orange in the hollandaise which goes nice with the seafood.

"Crab cake benedict" doesn't sound like crab salad at all, but rather crab cakes used instead of English muffins (or maybe in place of the Canadian bacon on top of the muffins). I could be wrong.

Dinner tonight is going to be whatever's left of whatever salads, and some cottage cheese. Trash goes out tonight and they only last so long.

It is an English muffin topped with a crab cake then spinach then a poached egg and then with some kind of sauce.

Done that version as well; although didn't add the spinach. But, I have had seen it many times.
Sounds very good. Hollandaise is the classic; do you think that was it. Sometimes, they will add a little Old Bay or dill to a classic hollandaise. Even a hint or orange sometimes to the sauce.

Benedict is almost always classic hollandaise

Felix, you are right too. I have seen the crab cake vs muffin; I have used just lump crab on a muffin - Lots of variations how it can be made.

I think the spinach is probably just lightly sauteed with s/p and fresh lemon. That would be my guess

If you want a bit easier version; use a croissant or muffin, top with spinach, lump crab meat, the egg, and then the hollandiase. No cake; just a thought.

I bet it was delicious!

Morning Everyone!

Well, I hope everyone had a nice 4th of July weekend (for those who celebrated); or, just a nice relaxing weekend.

Working from home today on a consulting job; so, I can really make my own hours. But, a lot going on. Then, I think I have to work tonight; haven't heard yet.

Ladies #1, #2, and #3: Grilled halibut w/http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/warm-c ... lish-11354; sauteed spinach; brown rice w/artichokes

Me: I planned grilled blackened shrimp yesterday and a spicy creamed corn. Tonight burritos.
I switched. Burritos last night; back to the shrimp and corn tonight; also grilled romaine salad.

Forgot to take the shrimp out in time to thaw and marinate.
