It's one of my favourites, and my bar has it on tap at the moment. Luckily, I'm not the only one who likes it so it'll probably stay for a while. They added three taps a few months ago and have been rotating through mostly craft and microbrew beers to see what sells.

I ended up going out tonight. One of my poker buddies and his wife called ... Need to go out and CELEBRATE. What, I had no clue. We went to their fave Italian place. I just had pizza, but ... it's a celebration. Had pizza, calzones, and salad; and all split.

The news - after 7 yrs of trying, invetro, hormone shots, fertilization experts, etc ... nothing. Then, out of the blue; she got pregnant, the old fashioned way. She is 4 months and doing well.
I wondered why she wasn't at our poker nights lately. She still has to watch things; but, everything is perfect and looks good.

So happy for them, and a perfect night to go out and celebrate!

Wishing luck to your expecting friend Kim! How wonderful for them!

Happy Birthday Felix! That cake sounds amazing. Who doesn't like Milky Ways?

I have lots of cube steak in the freezer from the side of beef we got. Well today I tried an experiment and made salisbury steak using cubed steak! OMG delicious! I made it partially in the crock pot to make it tender and not chewy. Hubby even told me, hurry and write it up before you forget what you did! He says that because I made a clean out the fridge type of meatball recipe, and a homemade bbq sauce doing the same. I told him I could never repeat those recipes!

Morning!

Dis, 70 today ... you should be melting - about time. You are going to be warmer than us today. But, at least it is sunny.
Thx, my friends were very excited - they will be awesome parents. Because her hubby's job requires so much travel; they couldn't adopt. Very happy for them.

Lots of outside work today; but also brought lots of stuff home from work - I will not be bored.

So Today's cooking ...
Since, me and my friends went out last night; back to my corned beef hash today, fruit on the side.

Lady #1: Jambalaya w/chicken and smoked sausage; fruit salad
Lady #2: Jambalaya w/andouille sausage and shrimp; fruit salad

I have no idea what we will be eating.
I woke up at 3 am, not feeling well at all. Took tylenol and went back to sleep. 7 am I felt better, but still feel kind of wobbly. :YMSICK: Not sick, but just weak. I should try to eat a grapefruit or something like that and see if that helps.

If I do cook it might be just some chicken noodle soup. That is easy and should fit the menu for today. But I might start feeling better...still early!

BBL with whats for dinner.

Not sure what I want yet. Newspaper guy wants me to do a recipe made with beer. I got a whole week to work it up but might try to get it out of the way.
I have an avocado and some tomatoes, and peppers, onions and a bag of flour tortillas so may do a beer fajita thing with chicken. Maybe some refried beans or some such on the side.
Beautiful day outside! Not a cloud in the sky and it's warm to boot. :) :) :)

Most likely soup, and toast. And gallons upon gallons of water. I'm a little rocky today.

Family ate leftovers. I went to Dr. Got bad news. Stress fracture on ankle now. another 6 weeks laid up. He is putting me on bed rest, but fat chance that is going to happen!
