I made a fish (cod) and potato tagine with preserved lemon and couscous on the side for a very late lunch (got a late start).
I have a corned beef in the crock pot braising- it will be finished in the voen with a sweetish glaze. I also made a barley and bean salad, inspired by one I have seen and sampled at kroger, but I think mine tastes better. Was going to make some bread but I have errands to run- want to get out and enjoy the sunshine.

Morning ...

Sounds good Sue, especially the cb.

Today, I am starting my cb. I have made my own cb the last couple of years. Love the flavor. It takes a good 7 days, so it will be ready for St. Patty's Day.

I'm working the evening shift, so an easy dinner.

First, dinner for Ladies #1 and #2: Beef pot pies; spinach salad with a warm mustard vinaigrette

Me: A 'Work' dinner, 4 of us. The boys are bringing burgers/buns, I have toppings, and making a pot of mixed baked beans. And, one guy is bringing corn on the cob. I have a cilantro chili butter; and a blue cheese butter in the freezer which is good on the corn.
Everything on the grill tonight! Quick and easy.
Plenty of beer; and, an extra tank of propane on hand ... always a must.

Corned beef sounds so good!

I think tonight we are just having salads and leftover spaghetti from last night. I made freshly made sauce from my frozen tomatoes out of the garden last fall. SO YUMMY. I froze a jar of it for sometime later on this month.

Today we went out to a korean and sushi buffet for lunch so we could review the restaurant. it was pretty good- they had good sushi, a selection of korean dishes on the buffet, also miso soup, kimchi and tempura.
I am stuffed.
No idea what dinner plans are.

Morning!

Corned beef, smothered pork chops, salads and leftovers, and sushi all sound good.

We did our burgers; but with a twist. I made a big batch of burger meat; then, everyone made their own burger. We have 7 different burgers and split them in half. It was a lot of fun; and still easy. And, we did work first.

Today, no cooking.
Having a small procedure done on my heel, and supposed to be off my foot for 12-24 hrs hours. Several years ago, a small pebble got embedded in my heel. It never bothered me until just recently. Luckily, it is a simple 15 min in office procedure. NO heels or hard flat shoes for 3 days; they gave me a cushy shoe to wear in the house. No big deal.
So, subway for dinner (sweet chicken terriyaki).

I'll plop myself in front of the TV with the remote, my sandwich, laptop, cooler with a couple of cold beers. By tomorrow afternoon, I should be fine.

I hope you are up and back at it soon Kim!

I took pork ribs out of freezer. No idea for sides. I will put in oven for 2-3 hours. Easy meal! Probably corn on the cob. I saw 3 large bags in the freezer I need to start using up!

Thx Dis, a quick recovery. 24 hrs top with limited walking or none as he said; but, then just a couple of days with my cushy shoe which is easy. Just no extended walking. And, just a local spray for the numbing.

Many years ago, while in vacation in; I got a small cut on my heel, and got a small pebble that got imbedded - I remember the cut, didn't know there was a pebble. It just started to bother me this year, and a xray identified it. Luckily, an easy fix. Funny how things show up so many years later.

Ribs sound delicious. I have a pack I keep saying I'll make; and forget to. I need to put them on my list. Good cold weather food.
Looks like you are going to get some more snow very soon. The never ending Winter it seems.
