Ninner, take care of yourself! Cracked ribs are probably the most painful "minor" injury ever. :(

As for the home alone thing...my mother goes downtown to the big library for genealogy meetings every other Saturday from fall to spring. Usually that's where she is, although occasionally she goes out with a friend of hers for either lunch or dinner and a movie or some other program at the library or the local botanical gardens.

Tonight I'm heating up the leftover mayonnaise tilapia, and serving it with a new parsnips recipe Dissie found me, along with another vegetable to be determined later. And then it's off to work again tonight, loading out Million Dollar Quartet.

Grilling steaks tonight - cajun potato wedges with dipping sauce, wine, friends. Good!

We had QueenBea's recipe for Teriyaki Chicken and I made long grain rice with chicken broth and stir fried bells, onions, carrots and broccoli! It was a nice supper! :D

Morning Everyone!

Nin, I hope you are feeling better and resting up.
Denise, sounds like a nice evening.

Great games yesterday, even though I would of love to have seen the other 2 guys. But, I enjoyed some cheese spread with crackers, relaxed with a couple of cold brews and did get to enjoy most of the game as I cooked.

Today, lots of work at home (but actual paid work), and have some construction work going on, so I'm not going anywhere.

Ladies #1 and #2 have a benefit to attend, so I'm on my own. I normally don't have meat 2 days in a row, chili (but it was turkey chili) and now meatballs. But, it is easy, and I need to use them up.

Dinner:
Meatballs (freezer stash) with a spicy plum sauce (using 2 pantry items)
Stir fried peppers, onions and mushrooms (freezer stash), I'll add a zucchini too
Served over rice (pantry)

I don't know what I was thinking on this one, but I bought ribeye steaks for dinner last night and they were as big as my head  So, I have quite a bit of steak leftover. I think I'm going to slice it thin and make a stroganoff.

I'm leaning toward sushi. I'll be working downtown (some chamber of commerce meeting), and either I'll be getting done around dinnertime or I'll have to go back after a break. And since the fabulous sushi place is barely a block away from the convention center... :)
