Pizza last night. Chorizo and eggs for breakfast. Banh mi for lunch.
I suspect dinner is going to be chili, thanks to you guys. LOL
I may make some up or if I get too tired from boxing up stuff, I may treat myself to Skyline. :) Y'all come. I'll pop for the check, but you'll have to hurry!

I have to admit ... I still don't get it - it's basically Southwest or Mexican spaghetti, :) lol.
But, I do understand the whole tradition. My friends think my chili with sour cream, avocado, olives, cilantro is strange :o ; so, I can't argue. But, it is a great to use up the chili,   lol.

I'm always amazed at all the variations of chili out there.
It's not southwest or mexican. It's actually Greek. Go figure! LOL
Not that this area has that many Greek immigrants. But all it took was one to get that thing started. :)
Crazy isn't it! Greek, well, I do love greek food.

Chili ... sounds good.

Afternoon now ... Seriously I POSTED a morning post. what happened. This has happened a few times now. NO, NOT other posts waiting, this is NOT just on here, but on FB and other sites. FRUSTRATING.

I wrote more, but TOO aggravating to write it ALL over again.

-----------------------------------------------

Today, 3 friends over at a friends for a short poker night.
A low country boil (sausage, corn, onions, artichokes, potatoes, shrimp, beer, crab boil seasoning); iceberg wedge w/fresh ranch/blue cheese mix; cheesy grilled bread. Plenty of - plain or herb butter for the corn and spuds; cocktail sauce or garlic aioli for shrimp and chokes, spicy beer mustard for the sausage. NO dessert needed, more beer for poker!

Me, I am in charge of the salad/dressing, bread. and aioli. That will take about 15 minutes - I can handle that.

It's a chilly kind of day for soup. So I'm making my Cream of Chicken and Mushroom Soup http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/cream- ... -soup-5422
and homemade bisquits, made a little savory with black pepper and celery seed in them.

Sounds absolutely delicious! Love comfort food on a cold day.
When I lived in MI, it was either chili or chicken and dumplings - sort of my go to foods on cold days.FL we do get them ... but, not too many.

Well, it doesn't taste Greek the way I think of Greek. But you know, the cinnamon is kind of Greek as a seasoning.
We ended up there for a late lunch. They have so many oddball things they do with the chili now besides spaghetti and coneys. Chili topped baked potatoes, chili burritos, chili cheese fries. I don't go for those, They do have Greek salads and I got one of those one time. But mostly if I go in there its for the five way. And not very often- they put enough cheese on it to give someone a cardiac arrest. It's piled on until they can pile no more. LOL

Wow you aren't kidding Sue on the cheese! YIKES! I like cheese, but thats overkill! I would probably bring a baggie and take some of that cheese home!

My cousin is visiting, so we went out for supper. Pizza Ranch. I ate mostly chicken and mashed taters and salad bar. The pizza is ok, but I can't do all that crust sometimes. Would rather eat broasted chicken and mashed taters.

Afternoon ...

A late start today. Did the poker thing and low country boil with the boys - fun. Lost at poker. Then, went fishing; so, I had to get a couple hours of sleep.

Dinner ...
Today ... Lady #3: Asian grilled pork tenderloin; Asian rice; stir fry snow peas, carrots, celery

Me: Pasta w/leftover herb cream sauce, and caprese salad. I may or may not add shrimp - I have 6 extra large shrimp in the freezer; and, I may make a spicy shrimp dip to have for a lunch snack today and tomorrow. I'm thinking during the first football game.

Had homemade pizza today. When I make my dough for pizza, I always put in a tablespoon of Italian seasoning in the dry ingredients. It gives it a more savory flavor.

That sounds good; I love to brush chili garlic olive; but, the Italian would be really good.
Pizza is on my menu too this week.
