Morning Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. It is sunny and 80 today - perfect weather. A little yard work, housework ... but I will definitely be in the pool today, and a little tanning time.

Today's Cooking ...

Lady #4: The one I cook 3 meals for on Sun and deliver Mon, she is in Atlanta w/family this week

Me: My leftover pasta primavera from Fri. I may or may not top it with chicken. Classic salad on the side.

I have a whole chicken needing to get cooked that I had stashed in my freezer. Not sure if I will roast it or make it into a chicken & dumplings type thing. Will likely serve with some steamed or roasted veggies gathered from whatever is left in the veggie bin. I know I have asparagus, zucchini, and some sweet potatoes, plus a few red skinned potatoes.

HF, dumpling are always good to me. But a nice roast chicken is great, especially when you can clean out the veggie drawer.

I have some misc veggies (frozen and fresh) and next weekend will be a pot of soup. NO meat, I think just veggie and some good pasta from my pasta stand at the Farmers market. Maybe a spinach pasta with all the veggies.

I also have something which I call my pasta bag. It is bits and pieces of this and that leftover pasta. 1/4 cup of this and that. Not sure I have enough, but that is always good to throw in too.

I love chicken and dumplings. My hips just don't appreciate them! ;)

We had Kittens Kittencals Famous Parmesan Meatballs with spaghetti sauce and noodles. Made french bread from my breadmaker and toasted with garlic in butter. It was good, but not awesome, on the lookout for a new recipe for frenchbread for an ABM.

I love chicken and dumplings too ... probably why I don't make it too much either. Maybe 4-5x year because I tend to devour all the dumplings, lol.

Pasta and balls are always good! Pasta for me as well, leftovers - but an easy dinner.
I have a few ABM recipes, but not a good french bread. I get mine boxed ... some of them from a company in WA. I get them all in one package. 2.99 box for 15 boxs, plus s/h. If I buy 2 I get FREE s/h.

It may be expensive, but I get some really unique mixes. Sourdough, italian, whole wheat, rye, pump, herb, raisin/cinnamon, english muffin, apple/cranberry, white, French, anda mystery mix.

It has all the yeast bagged fresh and separate. And the mixes in a chinese box, NOT processed, so everything is bagged fresh before shipping. Really unique and interesting.

Sounds awesome! I would love that but would get the evil eye from DH as I just "had to have" the breadmaker. :D

I like your idea of keeping a spaghetti fixings bag.

We had Chinese food last night, as I wasn't feeling up to cooking at all. Tonight I wasn't hungry, but I did boil my chicken for the chicken & dumplings. Three huge containers of homemade broth and the meat from the chicken are now in the fridge, ready to get made into dinner tomorrow night. I had a PBJ and my BF ate leftovers, dd as she often does, ate at her friend's house.

HF, the pasta bag is great to have for making soup. I usually break up the noodles, so everything is about the same size. The soup can look a bit funny depending on how many types of pasta, but it all tastes the same. Mom did the same. My Dad used to call it Heinz 57 soup, lol
