What's For Dinner?-May 2012

Re: What's For Dinner?-May 2012
I am hoping for clear skies tonight. At the moment it is looking good.
Mother's Day has always been a joke on site with me complaining for at least the last 20 years. Some very funny threads have happened over this time. No Mother's Day is not a holiday here either.
Dd will be no different from your son. She is returning here on business close to the end of June for a week. I should get the usual call this week which is "What would you like & I will bring it home when I come". The thing is I never had a problem purchasing things for my Mother. Many of the gifts I gave her were for no reason at all.
Here is an example of Dd. She had to fill out a medical report this week & info on myself is asked. Dd's ? "When is you birthday as I get it mixed up with my bestfriend". Well that makes me feel special, lol.
The weather is so strange. One day it is so warm you need the A/C which is not happening yet. It is the same with the heat. The the next day it is cold & tornadoes are setting down. Tornadoes are not to happen till June??? I would like to open the pool so it can circulate & warm up.
Have a wonderful day Church. I will be thinking of you.
I see that spell checker is no longer working on site?

Sorry Denise posted on top of you.Denise wrote:I'm going to toss a flank steak in the crock pot, top it with a sauce made of dried chiles, chicken stock, garlic, cumin, cilantro, etc. Serve on flour tortillas, burrito style. Many frozen margaritas. Happy Cinco!
That sounds very good! Will keep that in mind for next week. Still have your sausage pasta to make. I will get to the meat sauce right after posting this. Sausage is hiding in the back of the frig.
Will you be viewing the "Supermoon" tonight?

I know, we will all split some broasted oysters, that is always a must.
For me, I will get a bowl of their scallop bisque, probably to go, but maybe a few bites. It has sherry, sweet bay scallops, cream and topped with these fried pancetta chips. Is the best soup/bisque.
For my main dish, I will get their Snapper Caribbean Ciabatta Club. It is on a ciabatta roll with grilled or fried snapper w/ Caribbean spices (I get mine grilled) Then a spicy fruit slaw, Creamy havarti cheese, lettuce and sweet spicy baked bacon. It is absolutely fantastic. But it is so big I can only eat half. It comes with fries or soup; so I will just upgrade my soup to a bowl so I can have some tomorrow for lunch.
They also have a stone crab bisque, but they are not in season. And they also have a fried blue crab sandwich with a fruit salsa and watercress which is delicious. But that isn't always on the menu. That is my other favorite.

Denise turned me on to the blue crab 2 yrs ago. Enjoyed them very much.
Now if Racrgal would give me back my pilot I just might be able to make lunch?

But I'll be at my best friend's house, and she's a mother. Apparently I'm making her breakfast in bed with "help" from her 7-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son.
