Still way to early to be thinking about dinner over here. Roast chicken sounds good.
Actually, It doesn't taste all that bad. I had another dose for breakfast. I don't know if it is your portion or just time. But better today than yesterday. Still sickly. But I get sick so rarely, I guess I was due. And I can still function and work. I'm sure if I took asprin and some cold meds I will feel better too, but I just hate that stuff. I would rather feel bad for a few days than take all those meds.

But, it seems to have helped, so ... hopefully in a couple days, back to normal.

Roast chicken sounds good, well normally for me. It is chilly here, so something warm sounds like a good plan.

Heat wave today---supposed to get up to the high 50's! So rib eyes on the grill, baked potatoes, and something green!

I'm not sleeping. My voice appears to be back, although it's still pretty rough (but back to that "sexy" level Dan likes so much! ), and I can go more than ten seconds without a cough drop in my mouth without feeling like my throat is on fire. But this not sleeping thing has GOT to stop. I've been 6am or later the last three nights, and wake up at least five times before giving up around 11am or noon.

But...tonight I'm cooking. I had menus planned for the week, and fresh asparagus waits for no illness!

I'm just trying to figure out how long I should roast the asparagus if I put it in at 400F with the chicken instead of 500F. Maybe the entire 30 minutes? I guess I can always take it out if it's getting too done.

At 400 I go about 15-20 tops. Depends on the thickness. I cook mine on a sheet pan lined with parchment or foil single layer. A lite drizzle of evoo, s/p or similar. I don't like mine mushy. I still like a crisp tender. But thickness will determine. 30 would be long for me even the really thick.

Yeah, I rethought that after I looked at the recipe again. I'll do them for 15...I can always let the chicken rest before serving if the asparagus needs a few more minutes. Thanks!

Morning Everyone!

Improving today ... Dis, maybe that Miracle Cure concoction worked. Sure didn't hurt. I feel better. No aches, but now it is in my chest a bit. But, I think with some good vitamins and good food, I can take care of it. At least I can breath and taste things which is nice. However, my throat is still RAW, which is aggravating.

Today ... Lady #1 is out of town.

Lady #2: Pork and Sweet Potato Stew (new recipe I'm trying); Arugula salad with a mix of fresh fruits and bread

Me: What I was supposed to have Saturday. Chicken and Cashew Stir Fry; Asian salad with a sesame dressing.

Tonight we are having leftovers from last night's dinner- slow-cooked ribs, bought potato salad, and Tom's cole slaw. This was an excellent dinner compared to an unpleasant dinner Saturday night.

I am so glad you are feeling better! I know it sounds crazy but it does work somehow! It usually only takes 24 hours to start feeling better once you start taking it! :) ;)

I cooked last night and ate, so that was a plus vs a small cup of soup. I am never down when I'm sick, but today I'm up and feel good. Even hit the treadmill for 30. However, I know I will be tired later, but that is ok. I guess I will resort to the Bachelor Drama tonight and veg with a cocktail of Vernos, bourbon, lemon and honey in from of the Tube :)
