Nice right now Nin, but rain on the way. Cooler later this week starting tomorrow - 69-74, that is winter for us. I'm putting up some decorations later, but otherwise, just a bit of shopping.

Church, 44.2F here which is good for this time of year. Dh has the outside Christmas lights up & I still have the windows inside lights to do. I will turn these all on Thursday (Dec. 1st). I do everything in small white lights makes for a very nice effect. I must start Christmas shopping this week as I have done nothing.

Well, we ended up doing all our outside lights yesterday and that lasted until around dark, so I ordered a pizza. Had a lot of fun though!

Tonight, something with chicken

Dd would help Dh with the lights each year but he was on his on this year. Ladders involved & you are not getting me up a ladder. OK I am now going to get off my butt & go to the grocery store. Been trying to talk myself out of it but it must be done.

Kindrid spirits. My lights go on the first and I do all white mini lights. I used to do 1 strand of red on my holly bushes and 1 strand of green around my railed porch, just for my son, but for me ... it is all white.

I do have to admit ... I saw the most beautiful tree last year. The large bulbs, all colors, but the tree was 9'. All the bulbs were a mix of sizes and in red, white, green and gold. Then there hand crafted ornaments scattered amongst the main bulbs. I have to say it was amazing.

But my tree ... A mis mash. Some hand made by me, by Kyle, ones bought from places we travel, and then store bought. Probably 50 years worth. And it is a fake tree, FL, it wouldn't last all month. But I do love it.

No ladders for me either, that is boy work! We are early this year, never had the lights up this early, but since we moved, I wanted to make sure everything worked. It did not! Two strands of lights stopped working, one of the drape lights for the landscaping stopped working. DH is picking up one of those today, so hopefully we will be done.

I always do all white, never done colored lights. But when we were at the Dollar Store yesterday, I saw the cutest little set of red berry lights. So we picked those up and mixed them with the greenery and white lights on the porch rail. They are so stinkin' cute!

I took some three-inch-thick boneless pork loin chops out of the freezer, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet. Only night I get to cook until next week Monday, so I should do something nice.

Dinner was a homemade Potato Soup with Bacon in it, along with green onions and cheddar cheese, boy was it good, and enough for a quart jar into the freezer

Sweet salsa chicken, steamed artichoke hearts, taters smashed with roasted garlic and a slice of homemade bread. Tummy happy!
