I have some frozen meat pies in the freezer so it will be meat pies, gravy, homemade oven fries and peas.

It's still up in the air whether or not I'll get to go to catering for dinner. I got cut at 3pm and I'm off until 6pm (dinner is at 5pm), and they're doing meal tickets rather than letting us just walk in, so hopefully.

Lunch was...meh. I opted against the fajita bar (WHY on earth they feed 85 people refried beans who then have to lift heavy equipment is completely beyond me) and went for a cup of roasted corn chowder, salad bar, and panini bar.

I really hope I get dinner. If lunch is blah dinner is usually pretty good. It's like they can only make one good meal a day here.

Felix , I am sorry that lunch was less then desirable. LOL, on the refried beans but you do have a point! I hope you have dinner so I can know what is served?

Just spent the last two hrs. with Dd on phone & e-mail as she is purchasing furniture.

Temp at 4.28pm is still 37.9 & raining.

Help! I am stuck on a recipe because I do not have 1/4 cup black bean sauce in the marinade? Substitute?

From what I found online, soy bean sauce or miso. Which I'm guessing you probably also don't have. :(

Boy, did I get catering!! :D Prime rib, some kind of chicken rolls with sage stuffing, cabrese salad, salad bar, steamed broccoli, roasted vegetables (red potatoes, carrots and parsnips), smoked salmon on toast points, some kind of feta/fish spread on toasted french bread slices. I opted to skip the pasta bar (they make whatever pasta you want with whatever vegetables and meat you want in whatever sauce you want to order). And for dessert, chocolate fountains with strawberries, cantaloupe, marshmallows, Oreos, rice krispie treats, vanilla wafer cookies, and chocolate layered angel food cake to dip in them.

See...when lunch sucks, dinner is always amazing. :D

By the way, the rain is in the process of changing over to snow. Five inches by midnight predicted.

My pasta is made, dressing made and steak is ready to be grilled. But I got called to work. SUCKS! However, I have good food. The guys don't get any, just enough for me. I'm stuck here until 2am or 3. But lots of work to do, so maybe SyFy or something is good on the tube I can watch as I work.

I do have a good selection of DVD's too. Long night!

Thanks Felix you are correct I had neither of those. I did have some Hoi Sin Sauce & it does contain soy beans but more salt then I would like.

I am glad you got to stay for dinner it sounds amazing!!!!!!!! So many choices. I am sorry that I was not there dinner as I had an egg sandwich.

Temp here has continued to increase to 39.2 at 7pm. TV still says this storm is coming?

Church thinking of you this morning. On TV there is a movie tonight SyFy "Seeds Of Destruction 2011, Adriab Padar, Premier. An embryonic root carves a path of destruction".

I thought that sounded like it is down the usual path of destroying the World, LOL.

Spaghetti, salad and garlic bread for dinner here. Probably a couple of shots of tequila to celebrate finishing one of my huge projects! :D
