We have a cut of meat called Falda. Can't remember how it looks like, but I will ask my butcher (we call him "the surgeon" he is amazing, I should take a video some day).

Matambre is similar to flank in shape but not the flavor. Flank is really Vacio.
Look at this pic #13 I think you are right about falda it could be brisket .

Tonight we had pork chops braised in a beef stock-apple cider liquid, with some onions, garlic and finely chopped rosemary. I braised it on top of the stove for about 1 1/2 hours. So tender you could cut it with a fork. Served with green beans and leftover butternut squash that was mashed with butter, brown sugar and toasted pecans. My husband hardly spoke while he scarfed it down, so he must have liked it.

Morning,

I'm still getting used to this dang DST - It's dark WAY TOO early. I always have a hard time switching back. Only 54 this am, chilly; had to wear my long tee and fuzzy socks.

Today's cooking...
Lady #3 + a special someone: Date night dinner - Crab stuffed flounder rolled up, w/orange hollandaise; roasted asparagus; roasted grape tomatoes
Dessert, chocolate mousse (by request), apparently her special someone LOVES chocolate!
This is their 3rd date - they are so cute together.

Me: A 'sort of' breakfast for dinner - I made this the other morning for my friend and me. I have 1 portabello left, and some of the filling; so, why not.
A baked portabello stuffed with a mix of potato, ham, and creamy cheesy spinach, topped with a poached egg; tomato/cucumber salad
These are really good; and so easy to make. Great for brunch, lunch, or dinner.

I think tonight I'll make homemade pizza. I'll have enough time after I come home from getting a facial to make the dough. My son is very generous and buys me gift certificates enough to get a relaxing facial every other month. It's about the only pampering I get, so I indulge and love it. :)

I'm all for that ... not a facial; but, I love a massage. Every month. It's helps my rheumatoid; but, also, very relaxing. LOVE IT.

My only pampering too. If I get the year contract; it is only 40 per massage, 1 hr; but, only 50 for 1 1/2 hrs. Trust me - worth it. I don't get nails done, dont dye my hair; so, this is just for me! If the facial is it for you - absolutely!

Yep,
