Morning everyone,

Well it is going to be "very" hot here today with sever storms expected to start around noon. Keeping an eye on the weather channel to see if a warning will be issued? I am glad I got the pump fixed on Sat!!!!!!

Felix your vacation area looks nice. Love the cabins & private area. Noticed they having fishing available also which I enjoy. Fresh caught fish is so good. Also look forward to you posting the garlic lime marinade.

Heather I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Nothing worse in this heat.

Out early this morning to pick up the a few items need for the late lunch tomorrow for Dd's arrival. I am adding grilled chicken, caesar salad & potato salad to the table with the pasta dishes. The girls will enjoy the lighter items & the boys eat their weight so I must have enough. Then all I have to do is pick up my bakery items Wed. morning.

Dinner tonight will again be BLT's as the tomatoes are to die for.

Morning Everyone ...

Lets see, I have workers from our complex doing some garage repairs in the neighborhood today, so I'm sort of stuck here for a while. I don't exactly have a choice.
I can do some work from home today; so I won't be bored that's for sure.

Dinner: I have some leftover rice I made the other night with broccoli mixed in. I think I will add some onion and red pepper and make sort of a veggie rice. On the side, grilled shrimp on a skewer (a simple Italian seasoning) or a easy pan sauteed fillet of snapper. One or the other; I have both in the freezer.

I have evil, evil friends. Went out last night, and boy does my head hurt. BUT...we had an absolutely killer thunderstorm last night! Which means while it's ridiculously humid today, the temperature is a lot lower (it's only 70F right now). I'm making the garlic lime chicken tonight with...some sides of some sort. Probably the grape salad (I made a huge one this time) and frozen vegetables.

Well we are now under a sever storm warning. All the way from Windsor to Ottawa. Felix maybe this is the storm you had last night?

We also have a "major" storm head our way from the West. It is to hit us Sat & Sun. Funny thing is that it hit Dd yesterday. She arrives Wed & will see the same storm again on the weekend. I am sure she will be thrilled.

All outside errands completed. I will close down araound Noon when the storm is expected to start???????

Trying a recipe from one of those brand name
promo cook booklets. If it turns out I'll post it.

Ninner, it probably is. It was pretty darn intense, which is really rare for a 2am thunderstorm. Several places around here lost power (not us, thankfully), and there was some other damage from wind. Hope you get the good part of it like I did!

That's funny, yet too bad, about your daughter and the storm. But at least we're finally getting some consistent rain! We're down several inches from normal.

Turns out my mother is going out for dinner with my brother-in-law, my niece and nephew. I'm still making the chicken, since I defrosted it two days ago. She can eat some cold tomorrow if she wants. BUT...that means I can have carbs! I'm making something with pasta for my side (if it turns out to be something fabulous I'll post it), and calling it good. :D

I'm making some sort of lemon butter chicken in the crock pot. I think just some wild rice and green beans. If this dog doesn't stop barking, a gallon of wine

Felix, intense is the word! The storms have been very strong! I have enjoyed storms in the past but no longer. We have had major deaths here from these storms. I lay in bed at night when they come by with 2 cats & with my trees being so large plus close to the house I do pray.

Church, the temp dropped by 1 degree as the storm went through. I am now sitting at 84F, 82 humidity with no wind. It is hot or maybe humid. It did drop in temp by 9 degrees to my West side but not here?????????

Anyway tomorrow Dd will return home. There is something good happening. I can't believe that she will travel & out beat the storm she left on Monday.
