WHAT'S FOR DINNER - NOVEMBER 2014
Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - NOVEMBER 2014
Made a new side dish this year with my yams. Went over like gangbusters. They are gone. My daughter wanted half the pan to take home, her 2 roommates loved them! I used canned yams, drained, added milk, eggs, salt, vanilla and mashed, topped it with brown sugar, walnuts crushed, flour and topped it like a crisp. It was so delicious. I will add the recipe. We loved it! Have a new dish! ;)

Sue, kraut and sausage sounds delicious; especially after all that rich T-day food.
The yam dish sounds really good Dis.
My leftover turkey will get all cut up today; and, put in to freezer bags. I freeze them in small bags; so, I can take out just a little at a time. Same w/ham.
I made 2 extra small mini loaf pans of stuffing, also in the freezer. Good to stuff chops, chicken, pork loin; or, eat with leftover turkey at Christmas.
Last night I made potato cakes; but, didn't eat them. I froze those too. 4 of them, perfect to fry up one night. And, I have just enough cranberry for a turkey, cranberry and cheese panini this week.
Dinner last night, I just enjoyed some cold ham with a cranberry mustard sauce; 1 very small tablespoon of potato w/last of the gravy; and the last of the beans.
Tonight, Dis, I know how you feel about this ... another T-day dinner. You just had dinner at your Mom's right? Yes, tonight it is at my poker buddies.
Cajun deep fried turkey legs; cornbread apple stuffing w/giblet gravy; mac and cheese; collards w/tomatoes; bourbon mashed sweet yams; buttermilk pie
Me: I picked up crawfish yesterday - all steamed; and, since I buy a lot from them, they gave me a container of their remoulade sauce. NO COOKING for me!
