Rather than pizza and salad. I ended up using the other half of my Tuna, and made a grilled sandwich with provolone. Also, had the last bowl of my yellow tomato soup. It was a nice light dinner. I just don't eat 3 meals a day, so, I wasn't in the mood for a heavy pizza. The soup and sandwich was plenty.

Morning ... and TGIF!
Well, easy night. Since I didn't have pizza last night, pizza will be tonight. Salad on the side.
Just a store bought cheese pizza; but, will add mushrooms, peppers (mixed), fresh tomatoes, and more cheese. I'll probably throw it on the grill; and, grill the romaine too.

Since we only just had pizza on Monday this week, once again Friday Night Pizza got changed to eating those horrible frozen dinners instead having pizza. We only have 2 more of those meals left in the freezer, thank goodness! I am very really for a lot more real cooking again.

Yes, Heather, cooking is a good thing! We had a great meal, we ate Bea's
Easy Grilled Pork Chops, grilled potatoes and onion in a foil packet, steamed cauliflower, zucchini, bell pepper and onions topped with parmesan, butter, spices and bread crumbs. So delicious. All the veggies from my garden, even potatoes. SO nice to eat those items that we grew, made them even more delicious!

Morning!
Well, another NO farmers market today. The knee is slowly healing; but, still hurts to walk, and still in my brace.
I think tonight, I am going to try to rescue a container of fried rice in the freezer. The last time I ordered Chinese, I got their house fried rice; but it was tasteless. It was more like pilaf vs fried rice. I think, a few more shrimp; egg, soy and some scallions may help. Hopefully, it will taste good.
That and a fruit salad.

I'm making room in the freezer, so we're having some #recipe5159, splitting a bowl of #recipe585, and polishing off what's left of the #recipe3956.

Shadows, I love a good grilled cheese / sandwich. Felix, that is definitely a CORN night (clean out refrigerator) I love those nights.
I'm sticking with my fried rice; but, haven't got to it yet; still busy with some things in the house.
Update
-------------
The rice finally turned out like fried rice. I added bean sprouts, slaw mix, soy, oyster sauce, garlic, scallions, 2 eggs, and more shrimp. Made enough for 2 large meals.
I may take over a plate to my friend ... he doesn't cook much; and I am sure he would like that and a salad for dinner. I even have a little extra chicken I could toss in.

Reading about kc's fried rice plans made me hungry for Chinese, so we tried yet another place. BF had chicken lo mein and I had chicken with green beans, plus we shared some dumplings. While the dumplings were very good, as were the green beans, the seasoning was quite bland. A place I would send someone who likes a more American style Chinese place and not authentic flavors. It wasn't horrible, but we will still keep looking for a place that really suits our tastes more.

I'm still in search of a place too HF. I find one place that had a good spicy beef and lomein. But bad fried rice and eggs rolls. A must for me. Then, I find a place with good eggs rolls and rice, but bad lomein and beef. There are only about 5 places that delivery to me, and tried them all. I never go out for Chinese, just delivery; but, I may have to look elsewhere.
Well, at least you found a so so place; that isn't too bad HF.
When I tasted that rice I got last delivery; I almost threw it out it was so nothing. It was like a bad pilaf. Well, it cost 4.50, so I wasn't going to toss it. And, so glad I didn't. The end result came out good. I guess you and I will both continue to hunt for a good Chinese place.
