What's For Dinner?-May 2012

Re: What's For Dinner?-May 2012
As yesterday was a holiday. I have services of Lawn Guys & Pool Guys. There is a problem about how the grass ended up in the pool? My attitude is lets not have it again? There attitude is who did it? So 2pm & still here.
I am having breakfast for dinner as I have many items available to me.
Church, served your Pork Tenderloin last night for dinner. Everyone loved it! Review coming.
Church, I am so sorry that you are not feeling well & hope you feel better soon.
Felix, you are home. No grocery shopping done before your return? You are dressing up for "Adams"?
Re: What's For Dinner?-May 2012
Hehehe. No, I'm working as a dresser, not dressing up me.

And no...no grocery shopping done, as the day she goes is Wednesday. The milk is dated May 12 (boy, was THAT a surprise last night!). The bread is moldy. Judging by the fact that there was not one dirty dish, not even so much as a spoon or cup, I would guess she ate not one meal the entire time I was gone that wasn't at a restaurant or fast food.
Meh. It is what it is.

Felix, hopefully you can get some fresh food in and start cooking again in between work.
Nin, I feel better; but not good. Just a light flu bug; I'll survive. Not as much nausea today, but still achy and feverish; oh well. One asprin in the am and another noon and night. Today only one this am and one tonight. Don't like to take much. I even went out and did some light yard work
Grass in the pool is not good. Obviously the lawn guys did it blowing, edging or mowing. They are responsible. Most down here have cages, but even with a cage ... edging can get into the pools. Sorry, a pain to clean.
Glad you enjoyed the pork.

Had chicken in the fridge, also mashed spuds in the freezer. Had that with a tomato and balsamic salad. Good and easy. Besides ...healthy.
Just a small spoon a greek yogurt on the spuds. I figured healthier than soup and it tasted good. Nothing new here. Hopefully another day and I can get back to cooking. The microwave is all I could handle tonight.

Just a short flu bug, my friend had it which she got from her visiting brother. Oh well. I knew I had to eat. I know not wanting to eat; but I knew I had to, so I forced myself to have something. Sometimes I realize you just have to eat what your body wants. And sometimes it makes NO sense, but your body craves it. I guess it is the way your body tells you what it needs.HeatherFeather wrote:I wasn't feeling great either - mainly stressed out. So far just had a yogurt - all I felt like eating tonight. I might try to eat some salad or something later, but I have no appetite.

Feel better too HF, at least your car is fixed which should be a relief, even though it costs; knowing it is fixed is a relief too.

I also ended up forcing myself to eat something more filling - made an egg, some sauteed veggies, and a slice of Canadian bacon, since I didn't have eggs for breakfast today. Also had some fresh berries.

Glad you ate something; like me, even though you don't want too, it actually does help. The berries are so good right now. I have got some great strawberries and blueberries on sale. I'm waiting on the watermelonHeatherFeather wrote:It is back although I still haven't had a change to really test it out much. I hope it is really fixed this time.

Felix, they continued to argue with me in the middle. I heard every reason under the Sun why it was not the Lawn Guys. Tough to tell me it was the wind as I have a weather center in this home & I "know" there was no wind. Then I heard the grass was long on the first cut which it was. Only problem was that the "elephant" cover was on the pool. I really do not care at this point it is done. The point here is it is not to happen again! Would like to say I have the best cut/trim of the season yet, lol.
So Mom did not shop while you were gone. You would have the opposite problem with me. I can't stay out of the food stores/markets. Sometimes I think I should be band. If I go I just end up spending $'s I do not need to spend. The meat department is the worst for me. I promise I will not go near it & it calls my name when I am there.
I am sorry for those of you with the flu. Church you & I both had the flu "twice" in the winter. Should we still continue to be open to it? Or are there so many strains going around now?
Dinner, I was going to do leftovers BUT it looks like I have company coming in from out of town. So off to the market.
Weather has promised rain & none has been seen. The humidity has now increased to 98% with tomorrow temp. expected to be 90-100F. I will have to turn on the A/C. I am not looking forward to that as once I take the humidity out I need to continue with the air.
