I did thaw my pork stew, which will be tomorrow or Sat. G/F called, I am doing here in 3 weeks. Well, long story short ... changes weekly. They ended up trashing everything, got married on a cruise this week; and changed everything I planned, so we had to discuss it.
Happy hour at our Mexican restaurant. Had a couple of beers and their $5, chips and dip appy. Salsa, chips, and queso, jalapenos and quacamole on the side. $5. It is amazing. They do it every happy hour.
Seriously, it can be dinner. But, I got their black bean and rice soup to bring home. That was dinner, and I'm stuffed.

I have never done the mayo either, but cottage cheese with pears is the best treat! The pear taste and juice, takes the cottage cheese over the top. Just a great taste!Felix4067 wrote:It would never have occurred to me to put mayonnaise on a pear, or cheddar cheese...certainly not both of them simultaneously. ;) I've often seen cottage cheese served with pears or peaches, but I don't get that, either.

In elementary, I attended a parochial school, the lunches were awesome. You could even go back for seconds! We loved the pizza, goulash day and chicken ala king! Of course we didn't have as many students, and the lunch ladies were parents. Everything made from the parents. It was a pretty good deal. Then we moved and I went to public school, and the lunches pretty much stunk! As I got into high school, it was all about being thin, and we didn't eat lunch. As Deepster said, it was spent on the corner smoking. We had open lunch. You could leave the school for 1/2 hour.Deepster wrote:In HS, usually carried my lunch, too. But, on certain days the cafeteria would be serving something that they did well, and that wasn't much, and I'd eat there then....or just skip lunch altogether. I'd go to the smoking area and smoke away lunch.....now there's another thing that's certainly been LONG unheard of....

Peaches too. I had some fresh peaches the other day with my cc in the am. That is a favorite breakfast for me.Dissie wrote:I have never done the mayo either, but cottage cheese with pears is the best treat! The pear taste and just, takes the cottage cheese over the top. When I was little ... I ate that almost every day.

Well, my 2 ladies are still on their vacation in the keys. Back this weekend I believe; they are with a travel club.
Me, easy. Work was very boring; and, I'm dead tired. Since, I had soup from our happy hour yesterday; the pork stew I planned yesterday will be tonight. Served over buttered noodles; fresh fruit I think.
We were going to do happy hour; but, not everyone can make it. I may cook dinner for a couple us regular HH goers next week instead.
