Morning Everyone,

Not feeling up to the top of the game this morning. First it is snowing but what has upset me is? Went to "The Keg" last night about 11pm. Drinks & apps. They have changed the menu because Corp has decided it is a good idea. SUCKS !

So dinner will be grilled chicken & it will be someone else out there cooking it. Sides roasted mixed veg as I cut down one of my stalks of brussels yesterday. Potatoes of course.

I HATE winter!!!!!!!!!

Stay warm Nin.
HF, I am sure it will be nice when they are finally gone.

Morning Everyone!

Football, cleaning, working on some Xmas projects; and a loaf if already in the breadmaker.

If I get time I will be making some kind of apple celery, or creamy celery soup; or, it may wait until tomorrow.

Dinner: Round 3 of T-day dinner. Yesterday I had a cranberry and brie grilled cheese for lunch; and dinner was everything but ham.

Tonight, same thing - stuffing, mashed spuds, green bean, but probably ham vs turkey. Then, anything left which isn't already frozen goes into the freezer as well. The spuds I will make probably into croquettes and freeze them, so I can just reheat; and the cranberry sauce will last another few days.

So no cooking for me.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend

Yup, snow. And cold. I am definitely not a fan!

Ninner, I HATE when that happens! Someone in an office somewhere decides to change something that's perfect the way it is, and then they can't figure out what happened to their business. We had a pizza place here for years that everyone loved, even though they were more expensive than just about anyone else in town. New owner decided to change the sauce. And the place looks like a ghost town now; I'm surprised they're still open.

I have options for dinner tonight! The hockey game is at 4pm, so I may see if someone will grab me a couple of slices at the pizza place (the building is so old they don't have a handicapped entrance, and I can't do stairs). Or maybe I'll see if someone will grab me a bacon and bleu cheese stuffed burger from the bar across the street (they have a handicapped entrance, but to get to it I'd have to walk around the block instead of going straight there through the alley). Or, my niece is picking me up so I can go to her house for a few days, so I may just eat Thanksgiving leftovers there, since they had a completely different menu. :D

I'm at my niece's house! :D I think tonight we're going to do something creative with her Thanksgiving leftovers (probably a turkey casserole), and then I'm going to teach her how to make bread pudding.

She had a dinner roll adventure, where her dough would NOT stop rising, even in the refrigerator. She ended up with about 50 dinner rolls, plus more dough in the fridge. The poor woman called me to ask if that was normal, but my problem with yeast is that it doesn't rise, not ever, so I couldn't be of any help.

Morning Everyone!

Well, I had to give up my wedding this weekend and give it to a friend to cater. I don't want to cook when I am sick; I also couldn't cook for Lady #4 for the same reasons. I wish I didn't have to, because of the money for the holidays; but, no choice.

I had 3 great days of Thanksgiving food - love it. But time for a change.

Lady #1 and #2: Using some of their leftover ham and making peas, ham, and pasta with a light white wine cheese sauce; salad

Me: My first lettuce harvest from my garden, tomatoes, onion, mushrooms and a bowl of celery apple soup which I need to make today. If not, I have a butternut squash soup in the freezer too. One or the other.

Ninner, the older two are at school, but the youngest is only four so she does tot school at home. But yes, we are having a lovely (albeit often interrupted) time together. :D

Morning ...

Yes it's 4 am, but I can't sleep, so I got up to work on some computer projects for work, so hopefully I won't have to go into the office tomorrow.

I'm helping a friend move a couple of pieces of furniture; I have the pickup, she has a mini car, LOL. And dinner ... I have a FREE sub card from Subway, so I think we'll just pick up that after the move. A couple of cold ones and call it a night.

I didn't get a chance to make my apple celery soup yesterday, so I hope I can get to it today.

Nin, looks like a break in the snow for you, but still cold.
HF, hope the roof is finally done!
Felix, hopefully NO more snow for you as well; at least for a few days.

Morning,

Church we should have met for coffee as I was up at the same time as you.

Dd arrives today. I am making chicken wraps with a salad. Also have a chicken tandoori lasagna about to go into the oven.

Very cold here at 28F & it is expected to get a lot colder today. No snow expected today which is good because Dd will have to drive here 2-3hrs but will be coming out of the snowbelt/Storm Warning. My mouse was acting up this morning but I think I have over come that?
