We woke up and realized that I leave tomorrow, so tonight will be leftovers. We've got multiple choices: Chinese, sausages, multiple deli salads, chicken, and we still might make the turkey-feta burgers. Tomorrow I'm almost definitely having something from a drive-thru. My flight is at 1pm, it's a 90-minute drive to the airport, and I don't get home until 10pm. With the time zone change, that makes for a solid ten hours of travel time.

Church, I also think our choices in recipes are very much alike. I do like to make things early in the morning or at least prep & never know who will be here for lunch/dinner? Plus as we move into the summer & the pool or cottage the feeding frenzy increases.
Many of the men only wish to eat the heads/tops of the asparagus so I rarely share my asparagus with them. I hate to see all those stalks on a finished eaten plate headed for the garbage.
I have saved your Potato Soup also. One of my favorite soups to eat in the North. I will wait till it gets cooler to make it. Never liked it cold. Always found it a bit uppity when served to me cold. Like I should be impressed because it is served chilled?
Felix, the time has gone so fast. Dd does that time change home. It makes for a long day. One of the reasons I have not traveled to Hawaii. For me I might as well go to Britain.

I did the CA trip 4x in 6 weeks ... I don't think I recovered from one trip until I hit the next trip. It was work related and when I came home work was immediately the next day. I never knew which day it was ...

Dd does trips East most often late afternoon which makes her arrival time sometime early morning. I always tell her not to go to work the next morning. This time she will be arriving at the local airport which is 10mins. away instead of an 1.5hrs. Also due to traveling so much her luggage is all take on. She has learned to pack like the air stewards.

Morning,
Weather continues to be very nice with no rain on this holiday Monday. I will continue to work on the gardens today.
Dinner tonight is Church's port tenderloin. Already grilled but undercooked so will finish it off. New potatoes with mint & roast asparagus & mushrooms plus salad.
Nothing open today but I may head out to visit a friend? See what the day brings as most people I know are not even out of bed.

Well, it is Monday, that means chicken, LOL. And a side of squash casserole. I have some zucchini as well and other veg, I'll do a rice and veggie dish.

Afternoon All!
Woke up feeling icky. Nausea and feverish which is the worst, but that is all. I found of my g/f who was over the other night is sick too. She said it is 3 day flu and it isn't all that bad. Just hard to get started and get things done.
Ate some chicken broth, but don't expect to eat much more. I have some leftovers from last night if I really want to attempt that. Even some potato soup I made yesterday. So I have plenty on hand.
I'm going to try and get out and do a little easy yard work and watering, but otherwise, a few bills and maybe work on a new stained glass pattern.

Since I still feel like crap. Some leftover soup, a poached egg and maybe a roll if that. I'm thinking soup and egg would be best; but I may try to do some protein of some kind. We will see. Not hungry, but I know I need to eat.

And...I was correct. Steak & Shake drive-thru between the airport and home.

Morning All!
Still feel icky - the flu; but more achy and feverish today; at least a bit of an appetite. Made myself a poached egg and a slice of bread I made yesterday.
Tonight, I'm not sure. Depends how hungry I am. I have a few leftovers and some things I could reheat from the freezer; I'll probably just go easy until I feel better.
