Last minute quick change of plans ... No time to grill, so dinner on the go.

Grabbed the dogs, buns, cheese, kraut, some onions, fries, slaw and baked beans. We cooked at work. Luckily we have plenty of condiments there, pickles, chips, etc. So ... all in all, it wasn't bad. Kraut dogs, with sauteed onions and relish; fries with melted cheese; and baked beans. Not exactly gourmet ... but we enjoyed it.

And ... Good Morning Everyone!!

Yes, it is am ... well here at work it is. 2am and working the computer, important data and printing out monthly reports.

Today, WED - Dinner is:

Lady #1 and #2: Grilled garlickly pork tenderloin (I cheat, I use Good Seasoning Garlic Herb Seasoning Mix as the marinade; but I add fresh lemon juice and white wine vinegar); roasted lemon rosemary potatoes; and Italian grilled vegetables - a mix of eggplant, squash, onions, and mushrooms.

Me: What I didn't have last night. Grilled chicken I have marinating; corn on the cob with a parmesan butter; and either a sweet potato, watermelon, or spinach salad ... depends what I feel like. I have a few choices, so I guess I'll just wait until dinner time to decide.
-----------------------------
Very HOT AND DRY here, 90 tomorrow with heat index of 102. If we get the pm showers it cools off a bit. FL needs those pm showers.

Morning,

The Canadian Open is now in full swing. With power outages as they hook up the broadcasting which starts today.

Weather has been cooler below 100F. The humidity is still 100% so now everything is just damp. We are expecting a major storm this evening??

Dinner will be hot dogs and a salad. Looking for something easy.

Morning Nin,

Hot and very sticky, dry too. We lost power again this am for 4 hours on and off; frustrating. So another sleepless night here.

But a very busy day, so lots to do. As I said; chicken, corn and whatever tonight.
Nin, I hope you get some rain tonight; just no bad storms ... send a few our way.

Hopefully you don't have to dodge too many black SUV's, lol.

Morning Church,

We have no rain to spare or I would send you some. This house is now surronded with security & police. They are not even letting the service people into the area. I can't begin to wonder what they think could happen? All back yards on the golf club have 6' fences in place.

I had a plan yesterday, but apparently I didn't write anything down. I think it's because it depends on whether or not the repairman can fix the broiler when he comes this afternoon or if we have to get a new oven. It's a balmy 81F with heat index the same (dew point only at 61F), but we're supposed to get up to 97F with thunderstorms for the next couple of days. Hopefully they get to you instead of heading south, Ninner!! There are some pretty good ones up almost to the top of the Lower Peninsula that look promising for you.

I'm about to head to the podiatrist to see what if anything he can do about the newly-discovered arthritis in my right foot. If he can't, then I get to find a new career since it already hurts to walk. Which is what I am doing today instead of Lyle Lovett at the Gardens. Getting older blows. :?

Edit:
The heat and humidity came (94F, heat index 101F), the doctor says I'm having surgery next week, and I'm in a foul mood. We're having leftover http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/basil- ... vegetables.

We are having turkey legs and fixin's for dinner tonight. I hate to heat up the house by turning the oven on but, if I wait till it gets cooler( or below 100 degrees) to use the oven, we may not eat til' winter.

Morning ...

Yes, 2:45 am - that's morning right? Well morning for me these days.
Very hot today, and very dry. Dry the last several days and doesn't look like any rain soon which is not a good thing.

Lady #3:
Roast lemon Greek chicken. A mix of butter, lemon, and fresh herbs under the skin. Brushed with olive oil and greek seasoning; and lemon and onion in the cavity.
Mashed cauliflower with gruyere
Sauteed broccoli with lemon
Pecan pie by request

Me:
Not sure, depends on how the day plays out.
Either poached salmon; broccoli cheese rice (homemade); and roasted carrots
or
The leftover chicken in a wrap (I have some tomato and spinach wraps) with the usual suspects ... lettuce, onion, tomato, cheese, etc; french fries or chips

Morning,

Felix I am sorry to hear about your surgery. How long will you have to stay off your foot?

Well we did receive rain at 2am this morning. We are still under a sever thunderstorm warning & a sever humiex warning was added.

I will have chicken soup tonight with homemade bread.

Gosh, I don't know. Our fried chicken salad was very good last night. We live in a two story 2800 sq ft house and the a/c can't keep up with this heat and humidity. I have all the blinds closed and cranked it down to 74 in hopes of keeping it below 78 today. My electric bill scared the daylights out of me! :o

I have a pound of ground round in the fridge, so maybe burgers. Something easy.

Well, now the surgery is up in the air. Without consulting me, they changed it from the 3rd to the 10th. I leave for vacation on the 10th. It's still gotta happen, but now they're trying to work within serious time constraints (I also lose my insurance at the end of September). When it finally happens, I'll be on crutches 6-8 weeks.

Tonight I'm working (loading out a Spartan Foods trade show that's been here for a week), so dinner is fend for yourself. Dan's out of town, so that negates grabbing something on the way home from work. Guess I'll end up with the shrimp pasta primavera leftovers.
