Morning and it's the Weekend!

Anyone have any special plans?
I ended up hitting the market this am for a few things. Farm eggs, tomato basil pasta, FL sweet onion, and figs. Then, a short walk on the beach. Nice morning.
Yard work and the pool are my big plans.

Dinner - Blackened tilapia with a corn, jalapeno, cilantro and lime salsa; my leftover squash from last night with cheese, and fresh fruit.

Today: three shows of the circus. Tomorrow: two shows of the circus. Those seem like special plans to me, but I probably have a different definition than you do. ;)

Dinner tonight is leftover #recipe7632 from my freezer, and they promised someone from concessions would bring us cotton candy.

What happened to Saturday?
Need to re-wind - still more stuff to get done.

Had a great walk on the beach, and swim this am. Gorgeous am here; but, I do miss the Fall weather and colors. Marigolds and Mums are the closest thing we get to Fall Colors.

Dinner, a bit of Fall ...
I have 1/2 of a acorn squash in the fridge; and, cooked leftover chicken in the freezer. A match made in heaven.
Yesterday; I found something new. Uncle Bens (that 90 second rice in a pouch); a blend of quinoa and brown rice. Looked interesting especially with a BOGO. I'll try something new when it is a bargain.

So, I'll toss the chicken with the rice; add some onions, walnuts, dried cranberries, a squeeze of honey, and stuff it in the squash. Maybe finish with a little gruyere cheese or maybe not.
I know I will have extra filling, which will make a nice lunch this week.

On the side, grilled romaine with diced apples and pears, red onion, and a raspberry vinaigrette. Just a bottle of Kens Steakhouse dressing.

I looked at my available options in the freezer for dinner, remembered that it's a 5-minute walk from the booth to the closest microwave (but that we do have a refrigerator in the booth), and stopped at Subway on my way in this morning. Two shows of the circus today, and then done.

And they never brought us cotton candy yesterday, the b******ds!

Tonight I'm trying a Crock Pot recipe from the Penzey's Spice Catalog.
If it turns out pretty good I'll post it .I've got carrots in with the roast
and along with that I'm making #recipe10195.
And maybe for a green veggie, sweet baby peas. :D

Morning Everyone!

Looks a bit cloudy and rainy here. Don't have to go in to work today; so, laying low. Just some catch up work, very quiet day.

Ladies #1 and #2 are on a vacation in the Keys. So, just me.

Dinner - Continuing this week to use up what I have on hand.
Have the last of my cabbage and making hash. Cabbage, bacon, spuds, carrots, onions, maybe some mushrooms; and, cheese. Plenty of fresh fruit or tomato slices.

We had BLT's tonight. Got lazy. Such an easy meal. I should have made a meal with cabbage but got lazy as I said!

I was going to take out a roast for the crockpot tomorrow, but again, got lazy! I will wing dinner tomorrow night. Probably something with cabbage!
