I made some chicken noodle soup yesterday so it will be that and toasted westerns from the leftover ham we had last night. Nice and easy.

Turns out I ended up getting screwed out of two days of work this week because of other people's inability to return a phone call, so I've got the day off (and Friday as well, apparently).
I do like this recipe & have made it four times. I also have the peanuts on the grocery list so I can make it again next week. I will be making the pork dish soon also.

I am sorry about work.
Or...I'm not making it AGAIN!! Mom is going out for dinner. I'm having a salad.

Well it now 24hrs till Dd leaves. She has started to receive going away gifts. One such item was a large tray of cookies from an Italian lady. Lovely large flat cookies that look like snowflakes. The cutes ghosts of cake covered in white chocolate & milk chocolate mice.

Dinner was very nice. Lots of appetizers on the table. I ordered Alfredo with linguine. I do not order such a rich dish often but enjoy every last drop if it.

Today my job is to do laundry & Dd has not disappointed me with the large amount that requires my attention. The car will be packed tonight & so I will be ordering in chinese food for dinner for family & friends.

Nin, sounds like a good time at dinner. I think you deserve a easy night tonight, give yourself a break.

I ended up working midnights last night, so I'm dead tired, but it is light out. Can't sleep.

Dinner tonight:

Lady #3: http://www.food.com/recipe/beef-and-ale ... ust-392418; classic iceberg salad with home made blue cheese dressing; dessert is a pumpkin spice cake

Me: Work, but the boys are treating me. Jason one of the guys threw a birthday party last night for his friend and said they have lots of leftovers he could bring in. He mentioned ham and potato salad and that sounds good to me. So I'm taking some rolls and my part is done.

This week, I barely got anything made I was supposed to.

It is hard changing shifts. I am not a good sleeper & one of the reasons you find me here so early.

No rest for the wicked till tomorrow morning when Dd leaves. Tonight is finish packing. Then try to put 10 times more stuff then will fit into a compact car??? Then I will look at the mess left after the evacuation & rest first.

There is so such stuff that I used the vacuum to suck the air out of bags. Trouble is they do not seem to be holding their seal.

Muffin, I make many dishes that cover two or more dinners. I love soup & make a veg soup weekly that I eat for the week. Now I have to admit that I like the bread & butter with it. Something that is more British.

I'm technically having leftover tomatoey chicken stew, but since "dinner" is taking place at 3:30pm I'm sure we'll probably stop somewhere on the way home from the theatre.

I'm dressing a small tour of the Wizard of Oz tonight. ;)
