Since I have an entire Dutch oven full of the lima bean, carrot, onion and kale soup from last night, I'll be making a small dent in it again tonight.....with some cornbread. The soup turned out Sooooo good!!!! Some yogurt with chopped banana for dessert will finish out the meal :D

The weather is right for soup!!! It only got up to 70 today, and possibly the upper 40s tonight......great soup weather in the middle of July

Deepster, it has been unseasonably cool this July. I am not going to complain as its nice to just have windows open. But also scares me, as it seems like summer is trying to be over~ Soup sounds wonderful! I love soup!

Morning Everyone!

Felix, jambalaya sounds wonderful. GW, I love the melting pot (especially the cheese appie); Deepster, soup anytime for me; and Dis, turkey is perfect.

I wish I could say a bit cooler; but, It's FL summer. 85 is a cold front. I have major yard work to do; so, I usually pic the am or pm - but lots of rain, so everything is wet right now.

Dinner, just me tonight; and, I have all day off. Making a small casserole of scalloped potatoes and ham (ham is freezer stash). Classic scalloped - no cheese. Then, my leftover squash casserole, and watermelon and blueberry salad.

The remaining ham, I will make ham salad to have with crackers for lunch tomorrow.

It's funny for me how everyone runs around like Chicken Little because a fair portion of the country had a three-day (or less, in a lot of areas) cold snap. Facebook was FULL of people acting like it was the end of the world.

Tonight I'm making Tarragon Chicken Casserole (recipe from F.com by papergoddess), along with my #recipe10259 and some cottage cheese.

Not end of world, but does predict an early fall and winter, remember how winter did not want to end! I have seen this weather pattern once before in the summer 0f 66 and we ended up with over 4 feet of snow and temps in the teens for weeks!

Shapes, I haven't made it in years; had completely forgotten about it. But now I have fresh tarragon on my back porch so I figured I should do it again. I remember it being amazing, and last time I made it with dried. :D

I know what they're predicting, but around here we just call that "winter". ;) Mostly what people are going on about that I've seen is the cold snap we've had the last couple of days, and how it means "summer is over!!!!!". Or my personal favourite, "We skipped summer and went straight to fall!" Apparently they don't have access to a weather forecast.
