There was an issue with driving. She was unwilling to try to make it the 1/2 mile or so to get to good roads. I'm too livid to explain further without using words I'm not allowed to here.

Sorry to hear Felix, hopefully they can reschedule after Christmas. It has to suck having to wait, I would be pretty pissed too. Hang in there the best you can.

We're working against time, now. Bones have started healing, injury happened December 4. The longer I have to wait, the harder it'll be to fix it, the longer the recovery time, and the less the odds there won't be complications.

I know how that goes. I had to wait almost 3 weeks for my first surgery too. Not fun, then, they have to rebreak, hopefully they can get you in.

Morning and Happy Saturday!

I'm so glad my parties are over for the ladies/catering. Stressful and takes so much time. Just me and my son is the only party I will be having.

Today, I was thinking a shrimp stir fry ... but, it's National Hamburger Day!! And, since I was going to have a burger tomorrow ... I might as well make it tonight.

So, burger, maybe some swiss, sauteed onions, and a BBQ mayo sauce. I think I have a 5 bean salad in the pantry; that, would be quick and easy.

So...Christmas at Dad's house got postponed to January 18 because we had an ice storm yesterday and we're supposed to get another 1/4-1/2 inch of ice tonight here and he's supposed to get 6 inches of snow up north. Now I'm scrambling for something to cook since I wasn't planning on it. :?

Freezer to the rescue! I've got two portions of #recipe11262 in Ziploc containers, complete with rice. :D

Family party at my house is on for tomorrow, which means I won't have time to get online since my mother thinks my laptop can't be in the living room where I keep it 364 days a year because family is coming over.

Dinner will be: #recipe8818, #recipe2466 (and I WILL remember to take a picture this time, dammit!), #recipe4703, #recipe4682, #recipe2570, #recipe2569, a macaroni salad, little smokies in BBQ sauce, a cheese and sausage platter, and probably also some veggies and dip. I'm not making all of that...my part is the two kinds of cheese crackers and the two spreads, and I made them earlier in the week. ;)

I'm also doing a cookie tray with #recipe7098, #recipe3932, #recipe735, #recipe2469, #recipe7097, #recipe878, #recipe4572, 4 Ingredient Nutella Cookies (from Manila Spoon), and Nutella Brownies (from My Baking Addiction). We've also got some mustard and onion pretzel nuggets, some cashews, some pistachios, and I think my sister made fudge and caramels.

Sounds like a feast Felix. Delicious. Have a great time with the family.
Make sure to be careful with your foot ... you don't want to hurt it anymore than it is. Take it easy.

I have to head in to work early for a few hours; so posting early - like Felix.

Dinner on Sunday ... shrimp stir fry. I did end up doing a burger, in honor of National Burger Day.
Shrimp, peppers, onions, squash, white wine, herbs; and served over thin pasta. Garden salad. Nothing fancy, and no menu. Just something quick to use up.

I will be making 1 meal for Lady #4: BBQ mini meatloaf, green beans; and, baked sweet potato.

A easy cooking day!

edit: Showered, coffee done, and checked email before heading to work ... guess what, work cancelled; burst water main. I got up early for nothing, and for once I was actually sound asleep
