I should of started by asking ... ANY OSCAR PARTIES?

I am not a fan, although I enjoy watching the red carpet before. Some of the "outfits," WOW. Why on earth did they do that ... or simply WOW! It can be quite fun to watch. Like the Presidential addresses ... I like to watch the highlights.

Honestly, most of the movies, I haven't even seen; and probably never will. They don't interest me.

So ... Any Parties? Any special Food for tonights on screen festivities? I'm sure with 2 kids for dinner ... The Oscars probably are not on their list.

Had Whole Foods buffet last night, expensive but so good. I have to try to find recipes for the things I like there. Didn't get too much, just a small sampler of things that i thought looked interesting. Tonight I will be marinating beef to make bulgogi.

I ate out for lunch today after church. We went to one of our favorite Viet restaurants which closed after the holidays to move a few miles into new digs. I had the com ga nuong, which I don't recall being on their menu before. I will post a recipe for that when I make it at home. It's pretty straight-forward and not at all hard to figure out.
I was supposed to be making kalbi/galbi today along with some vegetables and steamed dumplings but I got home later than expected last night so didn't cook the fish I had set aside, which now gets bounced to today.

CammiQ, Pizza sounds good. I do love seeing all the jewels and gowns etc. Sort of fun.

A little Oscar Trivia ...
I can't remember what was on TV the other day, but they were talking about the Oscars; costs, etc. A usual prep FEE, for the stars ... hair, make up, spa treatment, nails etc, costs between 6 and 15,000. That doesn't include the cost of the dress, shoes, handbag or jewels. Which can be 10,000 up to 75,000. Last year, one dress was for 1,000,000+

Many stars rent their jewels. And over 70% of the stars use hairpieces, extensions, etc. of some kind. This includes the BOYS too. And 40% wear a girdle type of undergarment; men included again. Interesting.

Sue, never had kalbi, or com ga naung. Sounds interesting.

HF, Whole Foods Buffet is pretty good. I got it once when I got a gift certificate ... $$$. But, some nice dishes. Have you ever checked out their website. They have some unique dishes on the site. I have made a few, and they were pretty good. My friend also wrote them, and she got the recipe for one of their dishes.
Just a thought.

Hamburgers, and frozen fries. Oh, since I am in MN, I should have said a california burger. I had forgotten that you have to call it that here, or you get a meat patty with nothing on it! I forgot at a restaurant, and it came naked! I was sad! I had to then order the lettuce, tomatoes and onions so I could enjoy it! I thought about making onion rings....Might still do that instead of the fries.

Seriously ... that is so funny. If I order a burger (hamburger, or cheese burger); I expect, if it isn't right on the burger; at least on the side. Lettuce, tomato, onion and often a couple of pickles.
That is crazy; I would of said ... "Where's the rest?" FYI, I am a big fan of onion rings. With a spicy cajun sour cream dipping sauce. YUMMY! I seriously could eat just those for dinner.

My company is running late ... That's OK, Ive never been known to eat early. Driving up from her parents house, so, I'll be patient. Hopefully no rain for grilling. Luckily I found out 2 don't do well with dairy; so my breakfast casserole I have to change; and my potatoes I have to change. Nothing like last minute.
