Morning All!

Felix ... I haven't heard Cheap Trick in years ... I used to love them. At least I think I did

Well, I wanted rain ... we got rain. NOT hard which is actually good. Just a nice steady rain and there is still more to come. We certainly needed it. A nice soggy weekend. No grilling for me.

Dinner:
I have leftover pork and rice from the other night which I planned to make a fried rice; but - I may be lazy and just have more chicken and dumplings. It's rainy and wet and I don't feel like going out, and don't need to. So, that is that. I also have soup in the freezer and chicken too. I can take my choice.

Laundry, bills, cleaning, working on my stained glass is all I plan for today.

Whoa, Cheap Trick is a blast from the past!

Up at the crack of dawn quite literally to drop my now high school senior off to football camp for the week. The other boys will go to baseball practice later and I will be left to steam the carpets. Had every intention of doing that yesterday but I did way too much shopping yesterday. A little afraid to balance my checkbook!

I have some salmon marinating in soy sauce, alaskan amber ale, garlic cloves, and gingerroot. It will go on the grill this evening. I will also make some homemade rice pilaf, and peas to go along with it. YUM!

Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

YUMMY Dinner Inv! Steam Away ... I'm watching the pouring down rain and occasional thunder ... I actually love it. One, I love storms, but two - we need the rain. But, I find myself very lazy today and I have a lot to do.

Morning Everyone,

Finally able to have Internet at 8.44pm last night. Everything inside & outside is now replaced. I have 141 e-mails that I will address later. Off to trim the Ewws & walkway before the rain comes that we have been promised.

Thank you to those for your help over the last few weeks in trying to help in over coming my connection problems. I will be intouch.

Have a great Sunday.

Oh yes, dinner? Grilled hot dogs sounds easy with all the trimmings of course.

Planning on having grilled t-bone steaks, baked potatoes, and a salad.....classic. And maybe a fresh blackberry pie from some newly picked wild blackberries.

Welcome back Nin! Glad you are all set. Hot dogs sounds like a good plan. If anyone has been watching the weather channel, you can tell what our weather has been like the last 3 days.

RAIN, not nearly as bad or as much as some cities to the north and south or us. But it certainly has rained. No grilling for me right now.

Elsie, blackberries are fantastic; my favorite is over vanilla ice cream; but pie sounds good as well.

Yeah, Cheap Trick. The stage is set more than halfway across the floor (read: they've sold barely 3,000 tickets for our 10,875-seat arena). Openers are Midlife Crisis and The Verve Pipe, both local bands who sort-of hit it "big" in the 90's. It's a special, special day.

Turns out I got catering for lunch, but I'm on my own for dinner. So...pizza. And I think the two pieces I get today will fill my punch card for a free slice. :)

Morning Everyone!

Well another soggy day in FL. Definitely not as bad as some cities, but, pretty wet. Many roads and places around the city are flooded. My ground is soggy, but high enough, so no flooding in my area; but many areas out by the beaches are. We have got a few severe storms that passed through where the winds were a good 50+ and horizontal rain. Pretty intense. All 3 kitties were right by my side all night.

Dinner...
I'm hoping it lets up a bit when I go over to make dinner for them. They decided to eat together today with 2 guests so I don't have to cook 2x. It will make it easy on me and them both. So, that was really nice.

Ladies #1 and #2: Caribbean Pork Tenderloin; jasmine orange rice; sauteed green beans and carrots; fresh fruit

Me: Pork Fried Rice. I'm using 3 different recipes and coming up with my own. A zazz recipe by Yancy I believe, 1 from f.com, and allrecipes. I like components of each one.
It will have pork, rice, carrots, celery, water chestnuts, bean sprouts, mushrooms, scallions, soy, sesame oil, eggs, and hopefully turn out good. Watermelon too.

Well I pulled out the chicken last night to thaw, fell asleep on the couch, and left the chicken on the counter all night so in the trash it goes. I pulled more out this morning and put it in the fridge but it won't be ready for dinner tonight.

I think instead I will grill up the steak I have already thawed in the fridge and make the beef with horsey sauce wraps along with blue cheese slaw.
