Felix your new dish sounds great. Take pics!

I made Bea's new recipe Fresh Tomato and Meat Sauce
It made the house smell like heaven!

I'm kinda doing a repeat of last night, except using chicken tonight. So, chicken, garlic and pasta in brown butter, with more Brussels sprouts. I've poached
1 1/2 lb. of chicken, so I'll have enough for dinner, making chicken salad tomorrow, and shred some for BBQ chicken sandwiches. ;)

Morning and TGIF!

Boy oh boy did we have a T-storm last night. 10% chance of rain; and, it was severe storms. A good 2 hrs worth; and, it was pretty intense. Cuts down on yard work today. But, we definitely needed it.

Today's Cooking ...

Ladies #1 and #2 - Card/Game Night: Antipasta platter (marinated mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, artichokes, meats, olives, pickled eggs, etc; cheese platter /fresh fruits and chutney; baked flan
(Mushrooms, artichokes, tomatoes, and eggs are done. Chutney, I cheated and bought; but, I am making parmesan tuiles; and prosciutto wrapped bread sticks)

Me: Out - Happy hour w/friends at our seafood place (guessing pots of broasted oysters, shrimp, chowder, beer)

Not entirely sure what dinner will be tonight. There's this HUGE classic car show in town (the 28th Street Metro Cruise), in the middle of which is a venue called the 28th Street Showplace a friend of mine manages. They do a "rest area" during the event with vendors, food trucks, kids' activities, and a beer tent. He offered me a free table to see if I can sell some jewelry, so I took it. Today is 4-12, and tomorrow is 11am-12am. So...dinner both days will come from one of the food trucks. I'm bringing snacks (and lunch for tomorrow), but it's worth spending money on food to have something other than sandwiches and salads.

Good luck selling Felix. Sounds like a long day; but fun too. I hope it is successful for you. I think it is pretty warm up there; take plenty of water; hot down here too. And, I love food truck meals - always pretty good. We have a couple of pretty nice food trucks here too - great food!

It is warm, but the entire point of it being a "Rest Area" is it's inside, with AC and etc. I'll have to go outside to grab food, but I'm sitting in a trade show space at a table for two days. All I have to bring is my displays and jewelry; no tent, no tables, no chairs. :)

Felix I hope your weekend of sales is going great! Always fun to talk to the people at an event like that.

I visited my mom to get more veggies than we can deal with. I made my http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/kielba ... tables-791, with fried taters and Bergy's http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/tex-me ... hini-12851. Everything was delicious and it was nice to get rid of some veggies. The vegetables I used with the kielbasa was things from the garden, onion, bells, cabbage, corn and jalapeno's. Very good dinner, everyone loved it. Bergy's recipe is very good!

Morning Everyone - and Happy Saturday!

I can't believe it is the weekend already; but, I am glad it is.
We finally got back in to our late afternoon showers; which is normal down here. Two nice days of rain; my plants are happy. Finally got some dill and lemon basil growing; it is so hot - that dill just doesn't live down here right now. I'm hoping it does well.

I pigged out on seafood last night, as it is always good.
Dis, kielbasa and veggies I am sure was delicious. Especially fresh garden picked. Doesn't get much better.

Tonight, just me and a good movie. Although, I have to work on my book review too. So, a bit a work as well.
Dinner - http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/jalape ... cken-12254
Corn on the cob; and, black beans jazzed up some way. Probably add some chili powder, cumin, salsa, lime, etc.
