TGIF...that always make me giggle. But then, I'm the one who is always excited about Mondays.
Dinner tonight depends on how late my niece and I are out shopping. She's starting a new (doctor-approved) diet, and has asked me to teach her how to read labels. If we get back early enough for me to actually cook something, then I'll probably end up with pork chops, broccoli in cheese sauce, and probably green beans. If we're out too long, then it'll be fend for yourself.

Morning Everyone! Happy Saturday to all.
NO market for me today, sort of rainy and crappy out. I have enough for a few days, so that will have to work. I still have tomatoes, so I can pick up lettuce or a few vegetables if necessary later this week.
Tonight:
Chicken and dumplings (recipe to be posted); extra chicken will be for sandwiches this week or frozen. Tomato and mozzarella salad.
Not raining right now, but more rain headed our way.

Rain is good, Church! You've really been needing it!
Today I got my second harvest of raspberries, so I'm making my favourite pie (recipe from F.com, called simply "Fresh Raspberry Pie"). And I suppose I'll need to make an entree and maybe some sides, huh? I bought some really nice steaks yesterday, so I'll probably do something with them (although my broiler is dead and I'm out of charcoal, so my options are limited). I've got an orange and a yellow bell pepper, as well as half a red one, so maybe I'll do a stir-fry. Maybe a variation of my
Soy Sesame Beef Stir Fry. And today I'm making a grape salad, recipe to be posted if it doesn't suck.

Yesterday was the coldest June 22nd ever on record in Seattle at a whopping 58 degrees. The skies were a thick layer of grey and it dumped rain all afternoon. It was just awful. No breaks today either, suppose to be more of the same.
So I am going to give into the crappy weather and make a recipe for goulash. My oldest son had "goulash" at a friends house about 5 months ago and won't stop talking about it. He's no help, I have no idea what was in the recipe so the one I choose for tonight will be a starting point.
I'm also going to try a recipe for white blondies with peanut butter in the bar and chocolate chips. I'm pretty excited about that part. I may also make some homemade rolls.
This weekend is cleaning cleaning cleaning. I'm going to steam clean the carpets today!

Envious of raspberries, I love them. But NO dessert for me. But a fresh salad and I would be happy as a clam.
Steak, never did under the broiler. I always pan sear in my cast iron or heavy stainless and finish in the oven. That is I am inside or my grill pan. But never broiled a steak. Have heard of it, just can't say I have done it. Stir fry is always good, I maybe be making one tomorrow as well with leftover pork.
Yep, not too much rain, but at least a little - better than nothing.

I've been cleaning as well. About ready to start the chicken and dumpling and cook them slowly and make some extra chicken and broth too. Carpets. Only my bedroom has carpet, but it is getting done this week sometime. I want to lay oak flooring this winter.
Cookies sound good.

You and me both. Sounds like a good dinner. Nothing better than classic grilled BBQ.

Cheap Trick today, so hopefully catering. Or pizza. Sundays suck downtown to try to find something to eat.
