I always forget that not everyone lives on the extreme western edge of their time zone. Makes a HUGE difference as far as what time it gets light and dark! It was already staying light here until around 6:30pm before the time changed. :)

Tonight I am splurging, because I can. We only have one show of monster trucks at 2pm, which means I'll be done by 4:30. I'm going to what used to be "my" bar downtown and having a monster plate of ribs. Anthony Bourdain was in town a few weeks ago, and apparently he went there and declared them among the best he's had. I have to agree. :D

I kinda can't wait to get back to my regular eating schedule, though. This only eating once a day around 4:30 or 5:00 is messing with me.

It stays light out here until after 6:30 as well, but the two nights that Dave gets off work at 6, by the time he gets home and changes clothes, it's already getting dark. We'll have another full hour of daylight to "see" each other now! Love, love, love it. I love the summer when it's light out well past 9, enjoying the warmth and a good glass of wine. This is my fave time of year. Spring is popping in the South.

Morning Everyone!

Lady #1 and #2:
Braised chicken in white wine w/bacon, potatoes, onions, mushrooms, and green beans; sourdough bread; and baby greens with olives, artichokes and a champagne vinaigrette

Me:
Didn't make soup yesterday, but I have a creamy broccoli in the freezer, so I think I will have that with a pita stuffed with fresh mozz, tomato, olives, onions, and a basil vinaigrette.

Kim, that chicken sounds really good, I love that sort of dish. I have the smoked pork chops that I didn't make the other night, I think I'll make those.

Denise, it is so easy. Just brown, add some liquid to the same pot, veggies and pop in the oven. Remove, thicken the sauce and bit and serve. So easy, but it comes out really good. Both the ladies love it. I even use turkey bacon for them, so it really isn't that bad "fat" wise.

Sounds like a good plan Hamm. I love kielbasa. One of those great things to have on hand for a quick and easy dinner.

The plan was to access my white trash roots and go with a tater tot casserole but I have so many leftovers in the fridge that it is busting at the seams so probably leftovers.
