I had appts this morning, so basically got home late. I am going all out tonight! I am doing fish sticks, chicken fingers and fries. All baked. Probably serving it with a salad.

Morning everyone!
Working around the house this am, work later; then dinner. A bunch going on. For dinner: Back to my version of chicken cordon blue, leftover creamy chive rice, and sauteed snap peas tonight. I did end up with the leftover lamb and spud salad last night.
Also ...
Lady #1: Tuna stuffed baked tomatoes, over a bed of greens w/lemon vinaigrette; roasted artichokes w/onions, olives; cheesy mozzarella bread
Lady #3: Lunch for friends visiting - Honeydew chilled soup with crab skewers; prime rib sandwiches w/horseradish sauce, caramelized onions, and watercress; creamy broccoli, cauliflower and olive salad; I did buy some fancy Italian cookies for dessert (they know I hate to bake)

I'm marinating some pork in spicy garlic teriyaki sauce, and will serve it with...some stuff...like vegetables or rice or something. Today was grocery day but there were NO fresh vegetables on sale, so I'm still scrambling for meal plans.

I know I said a few days ago that I was making spanish rice casserole, well I didn't. So thats what we are having tonight, instead of hamburger, spiced ground turkey.

I noticed that too Felix when I went yesterday. Just basically got romaine for Mike as he doesn't appreciate how good fresh garden lettuce is, and called it enough.

Kim, cordon bleu sounds delicious! Shapes, a skillet meal made with the sloppy joes sounds wonderful! Felix, pork sounds delicious too! Much better than my plans!

It doesn't make any sense, either! The farmer's markets are full of everything in season, yet the only produce on sale this week was almost exclusively fruit from California. Drives me batty to pay astronomical amounts of money for vegetables from other parts of the country when things are growing here. Granted, we're a LOT behind because the winter wouldn't stop, but it's not like there isn't anything.

I am going for a chicken and green chile noodle casserole of some sort.
I also made a peach pie, The house smells insane.
