We didn't dare go to the bar...they have alcohol there. We went to IHop, and I gorged myself. Raspberry-white chocolate pancakes with bacon, sausage, eggs and hash browns. And because that wasn't enough food, I also ordered a bagel. Figured what the heck, I was only gonna eat once today anyway. ;)

Morning!

Elsie, I'm having pork chops and carrots too. I'll have to pass on the mashed, but braised chops w/spuds sound awful good.
Felix, love your dinner ... why not!
Sue, pizza you can go wrong; and Shapes, I have to make those biscuits very soon.

Me, it was busy with the dinner party; but, a huge success. They wanted me to join them, but I said NO. Just a rule I have when cooking for others. My dinner was about 9pm; and for once, I took my good Xmas plate out, tan with a green and maroon stripe around the edge, which looked so good with my grilled steelhead, crunchy sauteed broccoli, and orzo with tons of fresh herbs and lemon zest. I even set up my light better, got my good christmas flatware out. Turned on the camera ... and the battery was dead. Oops!! I was so mad at myself.

Tonight, pork chops simmered in diced Italian tomatoes; leftover orzo from last night (minus the lemon peel); and probably sauteed carrots - or, a garden salad w/onion, olives, cucumber, and radish

Also, making a loaf of white bread.

No pizza after all. I ended up making Thai volcano chicken. For today I have some stone crab claws *yum* and have some other things to do, such as biscotti and a loaf of bread. Not real labor intensive. I'll probably make roasted asparagus and rice pilaf to go with the claws.

I have no idea what leftovers are in my refrigerator, I just know that we have to eat them for dinner. All of them. No matter how goofy they might be together. This afternoon I'm making dough for two kinds of crackers and one kind of cookies that all have to be refrigerated before baking (I'll be doing the cookies tomorrow and the crackers on Thursday), and everything must go!

Well, I got busy, the chops are still pretty frozen, stuck together. I could wait; but, honestly, I had a bowl of soup for lunch, and not really hungry.

Chops will be tomorrow. I have a slice of broccoli ham quiche in the freezer ... takes no time to thaw. Quick and easy. That, and a small green salad - 5 minutes and on the table. I may do popcorn for dessert if I get hungry. I do love popcorn.

Morning ...

Well, the garbage guys always come between 10 and 11. Today, 7am; and I didn't put it out. And, they won't be back until next Thursday. What a way to start the day. Two cans full and 2 bags.

Todays dinner ... yesterday's planned pork chops; at least they are thawed now,
Simmered in Italian tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms. Served over herb orzo; and a salad.
