Oh, I so hate this time of year. I do like it light early; and, I think dark at night is more festive for the holidays. But, I hate that I can't do my yard work past 6pm. That sucks,
.This morning was hard. I am usually up by 5:30. So, on time ... I was up, however, it was only 4:30. It's going to be a long day.
Cooler today 77ish, low humidity. AC again is off, love the cool breeze to sleep. Low key today, and football to watch as I'm in the kitchen.
I have a friend in town spending the night. In town for a seminar. She had to work late last night, she is in charge; so, I changed my plans for dinner. I ended up with a burger, and held off on the sauerbraten tonight. She wants to try it, so she can make it for her bf. After her seminar today, she'll stop over for dinner, before her flight leaves.
So ... sauerbraten, spaetzel, and red cabbage.
Also cooking for Lady #4 today. Only 2 meals, as she has some soup leftover from last week.
- No pasta zucchini, mushroom, and kale lasagna w/white sauce; tomato artichoke salad w/balsamic vinaigrette; garlic bread
- Eggplant parmesan over pasta; fresh green salad with a creamy Italian dressing
DH will have something fast food out of the freezer for the rest of the meals. I made several things the other day to put in the freezer-- for "fast food" days/nights.
