Heather, hamburgers are the choice of those without work today. Now Dd also comes in a few weeks. I think you have the better deal. Have a wonderful time.

Well, plans changed and dd went over a friend's house. I ended up making http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/black- ... uesadillas which is one of my favorite standby dishes. I almost always have those ingredients (or close enough) on hand and can throw it together quickly.

HF, I would enjoy those too. And I always have those items on hand. I love to make quesadillas because they are so inexpensive, easy, and quick; and you can make them with anything on hand.

One of my favorites is a mushroom onion quesadilla with a roasted tomato salsa; a local restaurant makes it and it is so good.

Morning!

Early am again 4:00am. At least there is a mini Law and Order marathon on TV. I think I'm on my 4th episode, LOL. Actually I have been paying bills, emails, working on my cook book and finishing up some data for work; so it has been productive.

Heading to the market later with a friend; I hate going late, but I promised I would take her today, she has never been. However, she can't get out of bed till at least 9; and then it takes her forever to get ready. Me, a quick shower, shorts and a tee; give me 30 minutes tops. Oh well, parking will suck, all the PRIME veggies will be picked over, and the cheaper flower bouquets will be gone - but a promise is a promise.

Dinner:
Well, I had my menu planned for the week ... but, in 1 day it has already changed due to work, a birthday invite and a out of town guest. Oh well.

For my out of town visitor tonight (she is a picky eater and also trying to avoid carbs), so, roast chicken w/homemade gravy; lima beans and broccoli (probably both); tomato salad with feta and basil

Morning,

Picky eaters are a pain. Often they are picky because they will not try new foods. How can you tell if you dislike something without giving it a try?

We are all eating out tonight at a fish house on the water. I love fish so this works for me.

There is a new grocery store about an hour away that promotes itself as a gourmet store. So off to look at that & taking my small freezer bag with ice packs.

Church, I like to go to the market very early. In fact it does not open early enough for me at 6am.

Today the weather continues to be very pleasant. Tomorrow we start the 90 degrees plus. Will I put on the A/C? That is to be seen.

My friend has lots of allergies but not with food; however Mom never cooked much so she never did try much of anything. The list of 'what she eats' in about 30 items ... 'what she won't' is about 30 pages. She has to take all kinds of supplements because her diet is so bad.

Yep, Nin, my market is 7am which is a good time. It's light. My friend should be here any time - 10:30 and she finally dragged her a** out of bed, coffee, shower, did her hair, ironed, did her nails, etc. OMG!

Have fun at the new store - I can't wait for Trader Joes to open here. Gourmetish type of stores can be fun. Gives you lots of ideas, plus, lots of some fun food to try.

Enjoy dinner, fish house sounds good. You know I love fish, so anything for me like that is always a good thing. 89 here, but I don't think it will make it, very overcast so it changed to 86, we will see. I've had the AC on at night, but off during the day and that has only been the last 2 weeks. I try to not put on the AC unless really hot. Today there is a nice breeze which is great.

Happy Weekend!
